Wake Me Up Radiant Rose

Rimmel Wake Me Up Instant Radiance Shimmer Touch in Radiant Rose £4.99

First of all - I'm sorry I didn't get one of it on my face. I seem to be going to work in the dark and getting home in the dark, and artificial light just doesn't seem to do it justice. Boo! But there we go, I can tell you what I think of it anyway !

I have loved all of Rimmel's other "Wake Me Up" products, so I have high expectations for this product and I chose this colour as I think Shimmering Sand is more of a summer highlighter and I wanted to see how well this worked as a blusher. It's a gorgeous flushed cheek colour, like a slight blush or flushed from the cold, the colour is very natural. I'm not 100% sold on the shimmer part of it, it can look quite glittery but it is subtle enough to get away with it in day to day life.

This is definitely a blush I would use for my Christmas party or special nights out as the colour stays really well and it is very pigmented so it shows. Not only that but shimmer is definitely in for the Christmas season. It's very easy to apply and absorbs easily and blends well.

Overall, a really nice product which I have become very attached to. You only need the smallest blob - not even the size of a pea - so the product seems to last for ages and for the price it is a definite winner.

  1. I really want to try this, it sounds so pretty. Rimmel have really pulled the stops out this year as I never used to rate their products much.

  2. Could you get away with this as a highlight or is it too coloured for that? x

    1. Personally I wouldn't, I think cause it is quite pigmented you wouldn't be able to get away with it. However you might be able to with the other colour as that is more of a goldy highlighter :)
