Soap & Glory Daily Smooth
Soap & Glory The Daily Smooth Amazingly-Effective Dry Skin Formula Body Butter £8.50
The third and final Soap & Glory product I got in Boots 3 for 2 offer and I have to say, it's probably the one I'm really not that bothered about. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice moisturiser and it does what it is meant to do, but other then that I feel like it's just a bit like every other moisturiser I have ever tried. It's nothing special. Which is a bit disappointing after being so head over heels for their other products I've tried...
But I guess you can't win them all. It is a nice product, it smells gorgeous (as always with S&G) and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it whatsoever. I'm just a bit meh about it I guess.
I wouldn't buy it again, just because I have moisturisers I prefer that cost half the price. As with Whipped Clean I do think the price is a bit extravagant, so no, I won't be repurchasing. But like I said, nothing wrong with it. Just personal preference at the end of the day! Plus it has the LONGEST name in the world...
Have you tried this product? DO your recommend any other Soap & Glory body moisturisers?

Wake Me Up Radiant Rose
Rimmel Wake Me Up Instant Radiance Shimmer Touch in Radiant Rose £4.99
First of all - I'm sorry I didn't get one of it on my face. I seem to be going to work in the dark and getting home in the dark, and artificial light just doesn't seem to do it justice. Boo! But there we go, I can tell you what I think of it anyway !
I have loved all of Rimmel's other "Wake Me Up" products, so I have high expectations for this product and I chose this colour as I think Shimmering Sand is more of a summer highlighter and I wanted to see how well this worked as a blusher. It's a gorgeous flushed cheek colour, like a slight blush or flushed from the cold, the colour is very natural. I'm not 100% sold on the shimmer part of it, it can look quite glittery but it is subtle enough to get away with it in day to day life.
This is definitely a blush I would use for my Christmas party or special nights out as the colour stays really well and it is very pigmented so it shows. Not only that but shimmer is definitely in for the Christmas season. It's very easy to apply and absorbs easily and blends well.
Overall, a really nice product which I have become very attached to. You only need the smallest blob - not even the size of a pea - so the product seems to last for ages and for the price it is a definite winner.
What shimmer products do you rate?

Where to go... New York!
This time 5 years ago I went to New York for the first time... and on Friday I will be going back with my Mum... EEK!
I am so ridiculously excited and I have bought rather a lot to wear, I seem to have forgotten I can shop out there as well! Opps.
This post is a plea to anyone who has been to New York to send me tourist suggestions - and anyone who knows American beauty products well to let me know what it is I should be looking out for and what shops to check out! I can't wait to hear your suggestions and try them out and I honestly cannot wait to go - will be so nice to get away and have a bit of Mum & me time!
We already have a couple of bits planned... shopping, dining at The View restaurant in Times Square, shopping, seeing Wicked, shopping, ice skating in Central Park, shopping...
I will pop loads of piccies up when I get back to make you all incredibly jealous! But in the meantime.. get your suggestions in!
Love me :)
VO5 Moisture Soak Elixir
VO5 Hot Oil Moisture Soak Elixir
This is a happy VO5 post! Yay! Well, happier. I have to say, I don't think I am as in love with this product as most other bloggers seem to be but it is a nice product.
Basically, you wet your hair, pop some of this in the lengths and ends, leave in for a minute, rinse then shampoo and condition as usual and it should leave your hair feeling silky smooth, nourished and less prone to breakage.
Well, if I'm honest it doesn't seem any more smooth or nourished then using just shampoo and conditioner. It definitely has a bit more shine to it and it isn't as scraggily as it usually is, but touch wise it's not as nourished as I would have wanted. I've used this a couple of times now (once a week) and I have noticed that my hair isn't breaking as much, which is great and something I am really happy about with this product.
Here is my real gripe with it though. It's tiny. You literally get about 5 uses out of it, or less for me I have found as the guidelines aren't enough to do all my hair. So I'm a bit meh about how much product you get for your money.
This is quite a rambly review. I have some very mixed feelings about this product. On one hand it has made a difference to how much of my hair likes to fall out, and fly aways are now so noticable - and yet I'm a bit disappointed with the amount of product you get and I really don't think it's made a difference with moisture in my hair. I feel like I'm being pulled in two different directions and there isn't enough product to make up my mind! I will probably purchase again, 1) because I feel I need more product to try and 2) i need all the help I can get with breakage!
Have you tried this product? What's your view?

Canon EOS 1100D
Please meet the new love of my life (sorry Adam). It's my NEW DSLR - my Canon EOS 1100D. Isn't she b-e-a-utiful! I have wanted a camera like this for years, but never really had a good enough reason, or had the money cause let's face it - they ain't cheap!
But when I started blogging my lust for one grew and grew until I coveted every one I saw. Well, my lovely incredible amazing (gush) boyfriend suggested that he get me one for our 5 year anniversary - well who was I to say no! I don't think he actually realised how much they would be.. but we found one that was within our budget (I had to get him a TV for the same price) and one that I fell in love with.
It's really light to hold and I love the look and feel of it. It doesn't look too complicated (granted I am still learning) and it has a macro function which is what I felt I needed for the blog. Not only that, but I now have this beauty in time for New York next week! So get ready for some incredible photos - if I do say so myself!
Anywho, I just wanted to show off my new baby ... would you guys judge me if I fell asleep curled up to it? Hmm, yes Adam said he would too...
Also - happy 1st of December! I hope you're all enjoying the first door of your advent calendars! Where on earth did November go?!
What do you think? I need name suggestions to - throw some at me!
