Chanel Inimitable Mascara
Chanel Inimitable Mascara in Noir Sample Size.
My mum gives me the nicest things... She goes and buys some lovely expensive make up and I end up with all the samples. It's a good deal as I then discover little beauties like this.
As you may know, I religiously use Chanels Intense Eye Pencil so I was excited about this and it definitely lives up to my expectations. The brush it quite thick with plastic bristles to help seperate and curl the lashes, creating a natural and full look. For a teeny tiny sample it has lasted quite well, which is surprising but good!
Looking it up, it's usually priced at £23, which is a normal price for Chanel, however with a new car and house on the horizon next year I think I need to stick to my Mum's samples - she happened to find another one for me in New York. A good egg my mother is indeed!
Overall I do like this mascara, I wouldn't say it really stands out above anything else I've used in the past, but it is the one I'm currently reaching to on a daily basis.
What's your everyday mascara? Any drugstore options for a saver?

Mac Smutty Green
MAC Mineralize Eyeshadow in Smutty Green £16.50
Look! It's a Mac product! While I was in New York I popped my Mac cherry and bought a lipstick and an eyeshadow. This is said eyeshadow. I completely fell in love with the colour and it happens to perfectly match the dress I bought from Forever 21 to wear to my work Christmas do. It was like it was meant to be!
It applies like a dream, it's really easy to use as the darker colour for a smokey eye and looks amazing with a flash of mascara and popped on the waterline as well. Definitely a winner for me. I'm not a huge eyeshadow person so for me to splash out on one I have to really love it. And that I do. It's also really long wearing, just don't rub your eyes too much or you begin to look like a green panda.
It's such a pain we don't have a Mac near me! As I've loved both my new Mac products and I feel like you can't see the colours properly on the website, but I may just have to settle for it as this is definitely a fab shadow and thoroughly recommended by me!
What MAC shadows do you love? Any other Mac products your recommend I try?

Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub
Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub £5.25
My lips take a right beating no matter what time of year - mainly cause I bite them, but winter is especially bad and I get scabs and dead skin and they are just a bit eugh. So this year I was resolved that it would be different. So I picked up this lip scrub from Lush. I'm always intrigued by Lush and I love the concept behind the brand and their products - I haven't come across one yet that I don't love.
This product is made up of castor sugar which acts as a gentle scrub and jojoba oil to moisturize your lips without leaving them oily or greasy. I dab my finger in and then rub across my lips, then lick off. It leaves them feeling smooth instantly, I then pop on my current lip balm of choice (Nivea Lip Butter in Raspberry Rose) which helps to protect my lips. Having used it for only a couple of weeks I am already seeing a distinct improvement into the quality of my lips and the ease at which lipsticks go on now.
My only reservation with this is that I'm not a huge bubblegum fan, or of any of the other flavours they do - this was chosen purely out of colour. But I've found that this doesn't taste very bubblegummy at all - to me anyway, it's actually rather tasty.
I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who asked and it's not a bad price either. It seems to be lasting forever too which is good! Definitely grab one of these little posts for the winter - it's a lip saver!
How do you keep your lips soft in winter?

New York: Part One
Apologies for my absense! I was working pretty much non stop and then headed off to New York - the past week or so has been a bit of a whirl wind! However, I landed this morning and am dedicating this afternoon to scheduling posts for the next few days - I am back baby!
To start with I thought I would show you some pics from New York. I went with my Mum for her 50th birthday and it was amazing! Really didn't want to come back :( but there you go!
Enjoy!

Apologies for photo heavy - am trying to break up my photos into a few different posts so not to over load!
Hope you enjoy!
