Beauty | Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Lipsticks

When I was younger Chanel make up was always the brand I wanted to try. I guess it was more because of the sleek, black, statement packaging than anything else. And for someone who is a bit of a lipstick addict anyway, it's surprising that I haven't picked a Chanel one up sooner. But in September I popped my Chanel lipstick cherry and I haven't looked back.

The Top 5 | Repurchased

I think it says a lot, especially in beauty blogger world, when we go and repurchase a product. I use so many new and different products all the time, sometimes it's hard to really pick our your favourites. A good way I think to see this is by looking at what people repurchase. With that in mind these are my top 5 repurchased items - the one's I've bought more than twice and will continue to do so for a long long time.

1 | Soap & Glory Whipped Clean
I use this as my shaving cream for my legs. Before this I got horrible shaving rash all over my legs but since they've stayed supple and smooth. I'm on my fourth bottle of this in the past year, as soon as it looks like it's about to go I'm out and down to Boots. At £8 a time it's not the cheapest 'shaving cream', but I couldn't be without it now. I class it as an essential.

2 | Chanel Intense Eye Pencil in Kohl
Again, not the cheapest repurchase by a long shot but I will always have this. On average it lasts around two years a pencil so it's not bad going really. I've tried others but none match up to this for me, no smudging, waterproof and is the perfect waterline pencil. At £17 it is pricey, but so worth it and I definitely want to try it in some new and different colours.

3 | Bourjois Magic Nail Varnish Remover
I have since found another that I do love more, but it doesn't seem to exist anywhere (boo.) This however is still amazing and I love it for removing normal varnish (not glitter or toes). So easy, simple to use and really affective. There are cheaper alternatives on the market but none I've found that I prefer using to this. £4.99 is it's usual price but it does last for a long long time. I think I've gone through 2 since it launched around 18 months ago, so not bad going really.

4 | Nivea In Shower Moisturiser
I bought my first of these in November and am now on my third bottle - I should really buy the 400ml bottle, may last longer. Anywho, I'm so lazy when it comes to moisturising my body - it's such a chose and let's face it, there's a lot of it so takes a while. This is perfect, I pop this on when I do my hair conditioner, wait a couple minutes, rinse and voila. Silky smooth skin without much effort. What's not to love?! Usually on offer, it's currently around £2 but is usually more around the £4 mark.

5 | Benefit Helo Flawless Foundation in Ivory Believe In Me
The first time I tried this was in a little trial pot when it first launched, and then I got gifted one from an event last year and it's been my go to foundation ever since. The colour is spot on, the formula is beautiful, it works perfectly with my oil prone skin and doesn't aggravate it. At £25.50 it is pricey, maybe I just have a knack for repurchasing the pricey stuff eek! I am now on my second bottle but will be buying again and again cause I love it.

Chanel Inimitable Mascara

Chanel Inimitable Mascara in Noir Sample Size.

My mum gives me the nicest things... She goes and buys some lovely expensive make up and I end up with all the samples. It's a good deal as I then discover little beauties like this.

As you may know, I religiously use Chanels Intense Eye Pencil so I was excited about this and it definitely lives up to my expectations. The brush it quite thick with plastic bristles to help seperate and curl the lashes, creating a natural and full look. For a teeny tiny sample it has lasted quite well, which is surprising but good!

Looking it up, it's usually priced at £23, which is a normal price for Chanel, however with a new car and house on the horizon next year I think I need to stick to my Mum's samples - she happened to find another one for me in New York. A good egg my mother is indeed!

Overall I do like this mascara, I wouldn't say it really stands out above anything else I've used in the past, but it is the one I'm currently reaching to on a daily basis.

OH MY GOD IT'S MY FACE!

I know it's been a while since you've seen it... So I thought I would treat you with a little FOTD, just to wet your appetite until I get a few outfit posts sorted for you. I blame the boyfriend, we used to have a little OOTD schedule but that's all gone to pot now the sun goes down earlier and he finishes work late. Boo!

Anywho, this is my current non work face...

I don't actually know what mascara it is, my mum got a free sample of it and she can't remember which one boo, but I am really enjoying it! And I LOVE my new lipstick, its such a deep wine colour and so apt for winter. It's a colour I never considered wearing before so I'm incredibly pleased! And yes, I'm wearing a cute little hat because it is cold outside, very cold!

Chanel Intense Eye Pencil

Chanel Le Crayon Kohl Intense Eye Pencil in Noir £17.00

This is my little beauty secret. I say secret, and I say beauty, what I mean is it's my favourite product in the world and probably the one I have stayed true to for the longest - four years to be precise!

I picked this up coming back from Rome in a Duty Free and I have never looked back. It's the perfect shade of black and it's soft enough that it's not painful to apply or agitate my eye. It's waterproof (woohoo) and is really easy to blend.

I just find it really is the perfect eye pencil, if frames my eyes perfect. As with all Chanel products, the packaging is very chic and classic, and very handily comes with its own pencil sharpener. This is only my third pencil, in as many as four years so it lasts forever.

I got this one in a Duty Free as well so it was a little cheaper then £17, I think it was around 16 euros, so already cheaper. I do try and get these in a duty free if I can because of the price, it is quite pricey. But I'm more than happy to pay it.

I've still not found an eye pencil to match it. My Mum swears by Estee Lauder Double Wear, but I just couldn't get on with it as well as this one.

Tribal is hot for Spring right now and this is my fabulous new Miss Selfridge maxi dress. I broke my 'no clothes shopping' lent for this and it was well worth it - the boyf even agrees (kinda!). It is ridiculously comfy and looks amazing.

I bought my wedges as an investment last summer from Topshop and were one of my best ever buys - incredibly high but comfy!

My Lola Rose jewellery is gorgeous... I absolutely love it and have a few pieces but these ones bring out the turquoise in the dress and is really different.

My nail varnish is from the blog yesterday - Chanel's 'June' shade, it is gooorgeous and really contrasts the dress.

Spring Is Here

Spring is here and the sun is shining so I decided to hijack my Mum's colour box and nab myself a spring coloured nail varnish... 

This is Chanel and their fantastic 'June' shade. It's such a pretty coral colour which goes with pretty much everything.

I find that with some Chanel polishes the brush makes it hard to apply, but with this one it was really easy and just glided on with so much ease. 

The first coat is very light so you do need about 3 coasts to get this level of colour - but once you've done this it lasts for ages. My record so far is nearly 2 weeks with only a couple minor chips!

Chanel have also bought out 'April' and 'May'.

I find Chanel nail varnish can be pricey (well hello it's Chanel!) but it is worth it, it lasts for ages and like I said, goes with everything. 

Plus - it's so pretty!
