Beauty | Buy or Bye: Benefit Advent Calendar Products

My lovely friend and bridesmaid-to-be Beth was incredibly generous and gave me a Benefit advent calendar and I couldn't wait to start opening doors. It was a twelve day advent calendar so I couldn't start it until the 13th, but I really did enjoy trying all the different products.

The Dupe | Benefit Roller Lash v Maybelline Lash Sensational

If you're like me you were completely swept away in the hyper of Benefit's newest mascara, Roller Lash. It lengthens, it seperates and it adds volume... What isn't there to love. Well, other than the packaging which is not my favourite. Honestly, it quickly went to the top of my mascara list... Until now that is.

The Haul | Mini Benefit Haul & First Impressions

It's been a while since I splashed out at Benefit. The last time I did I went to a counter and had a mini base makeover. I spent a lot... I decided, after realised I needed to replace my foundation very soon, to put in an order. There were a couple of other bits I wanted to purchase as well so voila, three items and a lot of restraint later, I had three new items. I thought I'd combine some first impressions with these as well, however as one is a repurchase I'll just pop a quick bit about why I like it and link to a full review.

The Review | Benefit They're Real Push Up Eyeliner

Over the summer I have been edging more towards a smudged liner, however as the weather start to turn more chilly I've gone back to my safety net of winged liner. I usually use a liquid liner, however since I've started my daily slog to London and back I've had issues with smudging, transfer and longevity so I decided I'd try something more from the gel range. Benefit have recently released new additions to their "They're Real" range, including their Push Up Eyeliner. It's a gel eyeliner pen, the first of its kind (as far as I know) and I was definitely intrigued. Due to the price however I did decide to wait a few weeks to gauge the reviews and see if I really did need it. Well, I ended up getting it anyway.

In terms of application I had heard it took a while to get used to a this gel pen. In a way yes, but overall not really. As long as you keep squeezing the nib at the top to release any left over gel you're fine, then use it like any other liner pen. I feel a little like the line isn't quite as black and and bold as I would like it so it does need a couple of layers to be able to build that up. Touch annoying but doable. It is VERY easy to create a lovely even wing with this and I do find it very easy to match both eyes. Once you're used to it it's no problem at all and I love how it looks. It does look very clean and there's very minimal mistakes.

In terms of wear and tear I put it to the ultimate test of London commuting. I'm having some mixed results I have to be honest. Sometimes there is not problem with it, by the time I get home it's slightly faded but nothing really disastorous. Other time it's flacky and smudged. Not ideal. I have found that using eyeshadow underneath does help it stay in place and not flack, but it does still fade. It's better but still not exactly what I was hoping for. I do love it and I love the look it gives. Maybe some eyeshadow primer will help?

Have you tried this new gel liner?

The Review | Benefit Hoola Bronzer

BENEFIT HOOLA BRONZER

So, another little beaut from my little Benefit haul the other week and this is one that I don't think I can ever live without again. I'm ridiculously picky with bronzers, they can't be too shimmery, too orange toned, too dark, too obvious... The list goes on and on. So when the benefit lady asked if I'd used it before I was like hmm.. no and didn't feel over enthused. But then she put it on my cheeks and I suddenly had beautifully sculpted cheeks. Sure, probably helped she was a make up artist but I was sold.

I took it away and had a play and yup, I have cheek bones! It's breaking news people! It's incredibly easy to use, pop it on the Real Techniques contour brush, suck in the cheeks to locate your cheek bones and just blend in from the hairline until you're happy with the colour depth. I also blend in a circular motion up to my forehead and alone the chin line.

The tone of this is beautiful, I can't compliment it enough. it's very natural but very effective and the lasting power is definitely impressive. I would recommend this to anyone who likes a natural colour and an easy contour partner. Parfait!

The Review | Benefit PosieBalm

BENEFIT POSIEBALM £14.50

The summer calls for lighter formulas in all make up products, tinted moisturiser replaces foundations, cream blushes replace heavy powders and balms and tints replace glosses. I recently had a lovely little make over in Benefit and this was in the little hoard of products I ended up going home with. It was paired with it's matching tint and the colour was beautiful and lifted my skin tone so amazingly. I decided to choose between the two and I went for the balm.

So what's it like? Well, there has been a plethora of tinted balms on the high street over the past couple of years so in the long term I wasn't expecting it to be much different, I just really liked the colour. However, this is so ridiculously nourishing and keeps the lips supple for a long time. it's the first time I've come home and my lips felt better after just one day. In terms of colour, it's not as lovely without the tint (we know what I'll be getting on my next trip...) but still a lovely fresh summer colour and it's my go to.

What do you think of these new balms?

The How To | A Glowing Base

For someone who deals with oily skin on a regular basis I usually have to put up with either having an incredibly shiny face or a very matte face due to products I'm using to combat the oil. As much as I do like have a matte face I've always wanted to be able to achieve a nice glowy complexion - one that doesn't make me look oily or sweaty. I think I've finally found the perfect duo to do this.

It's a complete mix of higher end and drugstore (which I love) but they work together so beautifully to create such a nice glowy complexion and they are the perfect product for oilier skinned gals like myself. The Seventeen Skin Wow Primer is basically a highlighting primer, you can use it under your foundation, on top of it on your cheek bones to lighten or mix it with your foundation (clever little thing isn't it). I've used it all three of these way but the way I want to talk about today is mixing it with my foundation. I basically squeeze a little blob on this onto the back of my hand, then I squeeze a little blob of foundation - in this case the Benefit Hello Flawless foundation - on the back of my hand next to it. I then take my Real Techniques Buffing Brush, mix them together on the back of my hand (like a paint palette obvs) and the buff into my face. By the time I put it on my face I do usually have another primer already in place ready so this goes on top of my primer, in the middle of my base sandwich.

The effect I've found is that not only does my foundation stay in place longer thanks to it's priming properties, but it adds an extra healthy glow to my face that doesn't look horrible and shiny and oily - just plain healthy and lovely. Even when I complete my base sandwich by adding transluscent powder (not illuminating powder) I still have a lovely glow. I'm in love with this combo. The Benefit foundation is basically made with oily skin in mind so it's perfect at keeping the oil at bay whilst the Wow Primer is busy making me look like I've had multiple days of sleep. Beaut.

Just FYI, the other products I use in terms of primer and powder for this is currently Kiehls Micro Blur Skin Perfector (primer) and Collection Sheer Loose Powder. If you don't want to go for a more pricey foundation then the Revlon Nearly Naked foundation also works amazingly for this if you have oily skin like me.

How do you achieve your perfect glowing base?

The Top 5 | Opinion Changers

Sometimes you try a product and you instantly dislike it - there is just something about it that you can't like. So, you pop it aside and leave it alone for a while. Then, you end up picking them up again and o look - now you like them! This happens to everyone, yes? Well over the years there have been a couple of products that have changed my mind...

SLEEK BLUSH IN ROSE GOLD
I got this in a blog sale over a year ago now and was my first Sleek product. The first few times I tried this I really didn't like the colour. I just didn't think it suited me at all. Lately I've picked it up again and retried it and I really love the formula of the blush, the lasting power and suddenly I am intrigued by the colour. It's a different colour than my usual, it has a definitely golden touch and I love the highlighting properties.

ORIGINS OUT OF TROUBLE MASK
So, it's not that I never liked this. I always loved it and the results it brings in terms of my skin. However, the first few times I used it I really didn't how it felt on my skin, it was warm and felt uncomfortable, a little bit burning. I stopped for a while but the past few months I've picked it up again and love it. I've used less of it and the burning sensation is a hell of a lot less and it's not uncomfortable in the slightest - this one I'd put down the user error. Whoops!

ORIGINS SUPER SPOT REMOVER GEL
If you read my initial review of this you'd know I really didn't see the point in it. Then recently you'd have seen it again and again in my blemish busting and skincare posts. This has completely changed my mind. I use this little and often now - it's a very targeted treatment and teamed with my toner it's a winning combination. I couldn't live without this now.

TOPSHOP LIPSTICK IN INFRARED
Again this was more of a case of a colour not really suiting me on first impressions. This was a definite orange and I really didn't feel happy or confident wearing it from the off. So it got popped in my lipstick drawer and kind of forgotten about for a while. Then, I picked it up again around November and loved it. Maybe I'd lost a bit of tan so it suited me more? I don't know, but I do love the colour now - parfait!

BENEFIT THEY'RE REAL MASCARA
If I'm honest, I've tried this so many times because I keep falling for the hype - even if I wasn't sure I really liked it. I found it a bit wet and also, not waterproof is a big no no for me so I shyed away a lot. Very recently I've been really unimpressed with my current mascara, so dug out my one of these and I've now fallen for the look it gives. It's so natural and amazing - still wish it was waterproof but I'm finally understanding the hype!

I have so many other products that I don't use for one reason or the other and 9 times out of 10 I will keep going back to give it another go. You skin changes depending on the weather/day in terms of oiliness, dryness etc so skin care and foundations that once used to hate your skin may come around to liking it. Also, user error is a huge thing with me - I'm not a make up artist, expert in how to use things, I always read the destructions five times over before I actually use something. If you're like me in that respect that's why twitter is so amazing - just ask someone for help :)

I hope you liked this post! If you did don't forget to subscribe via BlogLovin (over on the sidebar) and leave me a little comment!

The Review | Benefit Dandelion Lipgloss

BENEFIT LIP GLOSS IN DANDELION

So, if you read the blog you know I'm not really a lip gloss person - I don't like the thick sticky texture and they just feel icky. However, I've recently found one that doesn't make me want to wipe it straight off - yay! I feel a little bit more complete now.

So, I got this in a little Benefit set for my birthday and it's taken far too long for me to actually review it. Dandelion is just a really nice subtle everyday pink and is just perfect for days when I don't really feel like going the full whack with lipstick. It's so light it feels more like a balm then a gloss but it just has a gorgeous gloss finish to it.

I'm absolutely in love with this and have decided from this I definitely want to get more into lip glosses - I have my eye on a few different ones I wanna try but I am unfortuantely a) on a no shopping lent thing and b) just spent all my money on my annoying little car so it will definitely have to wait a few weeks! (Unless anyone wants to send me some... go on, you know you want to!) Please let me know of any you recommend as I'd love to know, I will add them to my list to try once I have more pennies!!

What gloss do you recommend?

The Comparison | Maybelline Baby Skin v

The new primer on the block has been likened to the beloved Porefessional many many times since it's introduction into the UK and I'm not surprised. As someone who loves Porefessional and finds it pretty much the only primer that will really do anything I was definitely interested in snapping up this cheaper version. So how does it actually marry up?

Porefessional is a skin toned matte-eque primer, it absorbs straight into the skin and smooths it. Baby Skin is a clear gel like formula, that again smooths the skin. Both do a really fab job of priming the complexion, they are both very mattifying so definitely get a thumbs up from me. One of the things I love about Porefessional is how mattifying it is and how it keeps my make up from looking too shiny throughout the day. Baby Skin does a very similar job however it just doesn't last quite as long as Porefessional.

Price wise Baby Skin wins this hands down for me - Porefessional is very pricey, I haven't actually ever bought a full version as I have so many little sample versions around and they last for a good little while. I'm sure I will cave soon and buy myself the full version, but Baby Skin has a much more attractive price tag, under a tenner, with Porefessional over twenty.

The main difference for me is the affect it has on my skin. Porefessional I can wear again and again and it makes no difference to my skin. However Baby Skin really doesn't get on with mine. It just makes me break out something awful and I've had to put it aside for now. It's really annoying as otherwise it's almost as good as Porefessional. Otherwise the only real difference is how long it keeps the shine at bay throughout the day.

I would still encourage you to try it if you really like Porefessional. Your skin might not react the same way as mine and if not then you've found yourself the perfect dupe.

Which of these do you prefer?

The Top 5 | Repurchased

I think it says a lot, especially in beauty blogger world, when we go and repurchase a product. I use so many new and different products all the time, sometimes it's hard to really pick our your favourites. A good way I think to see this is by looking at what people repurchase. With that in mind these are my top 5 repurchased items - the one's I've bought more than twice and will continue to do so for a long long time.

1 | Soap & Glory Whipped Clean
I use this as my shaving cream for my legs. Before this I got horrible shaving rash all over my legs but since they've stayed supple and smooth. I'm on my fourth bottle of this in the past year, as soon as it looks like it's about to go I'm out and down to Boots. At £8 a time it's not the cheapest 'shaving cream', but I couldn't be without it now. I class it as an essential.

2 | Chanel Intense Eye Pencil in Kohl
Again, not the cheapest repurchase by a long shot but I will always have this. On average it lasts around two years a pencil so it's not bad going really. I've tried others but none match up to this for me, no smudging, waterproof and is the perfect waterline pencil. At £17 it is pricey, but so worth it and I definitely want to try it in some new and different colours.

3 | Bourjois Magic Nail Varnish Remover
I have since found another that I do love more, but it doesn't seem to exist anywhere (boo.) This however is still amazing and I love it for removing normal varnish (not glitter or toes). So easy, simple to use and really affective. There are cheaper alternatives on the market but none I've found that I prefer using to this. £4.99 is it's usual price but it does last for a long long time. I think I've gone through 2 since it launched around 18 months ago, so not bad going really.

4 | Nivea In Shower Moisturiser
I bought my first of these in November and am now on my third bottle - I should really buy the 400ml bottle, may last longer. Anywho, I'm so lazy when it comes to moisturising my body - it's such a chose and let's face it, there's a lot of it so takes a while. This is perfect, I pop this on when I do my hair conditioner, wait a couple minutes, rinse and voila. Silky smooth skin without much effort. What's not to love?! Usually on offer, it's currently around £2 but is usually more around the £4 mark.

5 | Benefit Helo Flawless Foundation in Ivory Believe In Me
The first time I tried this was in a little trial pot when it first launched, and then I got gifted one from an event last year and it's been my go to foundation ever since. The colour is spot on, the formula is beautiful, it works perfectly with my oil prone skin and doesn't aggravate it. At £25.50 it is pricey, maybe I just have a knack for repurchasing the pricey stuff eek! I am now on my second bottle but will be buying again and again cause I love it.

I would love to know if you like these types of repurchased posts etc cause I'd love to do more if you like. Also let me know what you like to repurchase!

Which of these would you repurchase?

The Review | Benefit Mini Fragrances

For Christmas I was very kindly gifted a set of four Benefit fragrances. I've always found these bottles gorgeous, and with most Benefit goodies branded to perfection. I was incredibly excited to try all of these out and add them to my collection.

Laugh with Me Lee Lee
This is described as a woody floral scent, a blend of citrus, jasmin and lily blossoms. This is a very spring scent to me. Very light, very fun fragrance. I love the packaging on this one. Again it's very spring like and fun. Also it's blue which can never be wrong in my opinion!

My Place or Yours Gina
A very seductive fragrance, this is very woody oriental fragrance with a touch of spice. A blend of pepper, raspberry and patchouli. For me this is definitely one for a very special kind of date night. The packaging reflects this, it just reminds me of passion.

Ring My Bella
A fruity floral scent, filled with lillies, daisy, jasmine, peonie and rose petals. This is a very flirty fragrance, one for a first day of a bit of fun with the boyf. The packaging looks fun, flirty (again) and a touch romantic. Purple always makes me think of romance for some reason.

Under My Spell Noelle
Described as an exotic and glamorous woody floral. Their Christmas offering, with notes of black pepper, cardamom, orchid, jasmine petals and raspberries. The packaging is very glam and very Christmassy. Gold and gorgeous!

Overall I love this set. It's so cute and to be honest I like the smaller fragrances anyway - I never use up an entire bottle! The only think I don't like is that they don't have a spray, you have to really dab it on to get any out. My favourite I think has to be Noelle, I don't know if it's because I'm still in that Christmas frame of mind, but I love this scent and packaging and I've been reaching for it most days.

I haven't seen this set in shops since Christmas, but you can still get it online here direct from Benefit.

Make Up | Luv It Up

Benefit have some amazing little kits at the moment - perfect for Christmas, and for me it was perfect timing for my birthday. I received this gorgeous little neutrals kit for my birthday from Adam's grandparents and the shadows haven't really left my face since.

This kit comes with three powder shadows, one cream shadow and a lip gloss. It also comes with a little leaflet on how best to apply these products. I apply the cream eyeshadow, R.S.V.P, all over the lids and up to the brows. I then apply Nude Swings over the lid up to the crease. I love this colour, it's a gorgeous pinky nude with a very subtle hint of shimmer. Next up I pop Thanks a Latte in the corners and blend into the crease for contour. Call My Bluff is then used along the brow line as a highlighter. Perfect nude eyes!

The lipgloss in the kit is Dandelion, I'm not usually one for lip gloss however this could quite easily change my mind. This is the first lip gloss from Benefit I've tried and I will be going back for more. It's a gorgeous nude colour with a hint of gloss, not sticky, and very long lasting.

If you're looking for a little beauty gift for someone this Christmas I would definitely recommend hitting a Benefit stand and taking a look at their sets. It's the perfect present for any make up lover. The kit "Let's Make Lovely" is definitely going on my Christmas list!

Trends | From Cheeks to Lips

So cheeks are different from lips. I know, shocker. You learn something new everyday. Well, it seems one of the latest trends has forgotten the different. Or I have for a little bit anywho. Cream blushers appear everywhere now and it has become custom to pop this on your lips as well. So I put it to the test. I have four cream blushes (hold on lemme recount... yes four) so how did they get on with my lips? Let's take a look see...

A lovely little pigmented stick that glides easily on the cheeks, and is made specifically for lips as well. I find it quite hard to apply onto the lips as it's quite a large face. It's a very pale pink colour when it's applied, that does show up every flaw, but actually looks really nice. Not my favourite formula for lips, but also one I wouldn't throw away.

Benefit's first product, and notorious for cheeks and lips. Cheeks it's incredibly long lasting and I love it, however on the lips it doesn't seem to do an awful lot to me. It tastes a bit ick. It does leave a small tint, enough to make my lips look healthy which is nice, and it's very long lasting. But the taste lingers and I'm not a huge fan.

This goes onto the cheek like a deep rose and is really natural and lovely. it is your typical cream to powder finish so when it's applied onto the lips it's not the most comfortable. it's surprisingly peach-ish on the lips considering the colour on the cheeks, but the powdery finish isn't very comfortable and means it doesn't last very long on the lips. Not great.

Okay so this is definitely my favourite. Probably the one cream blush that doesn't pop over to the powdery side, it stays creamy and I love this on my cheeks and lips. A gorgeous colour on the cheeks, and a light pink on the lips that's very long lasting and comfortable to wear. Definitely my favourite cream blush thus far and also my favourite C2L product (cheeks to lip) as well!

Another blush that goes from cream to powdery on application. On the cheeks it's a gorgeous coral colour, one that usually lives on my cheeks day in and day out (until recently). Unfortunately it won't be on the lips, it's quite cakey and uncomfortable. The colour is gorgeous, a lovely coral peach that's perfect for summer, but the consistency just isn't comfortable.

So although it seems to be talked about a lot, I don't think it's a winner all around the block. We have a couple of great product, but where a lot of cream blushes go to powder on application it doesn't make for great lip products! So maybe this is one trend I won't be continuing with...

Will you be partaking in the latest cheeks to lips trend?

Make Up | Benefit Fake Up

I seem to be incredibly and uncurably intrigued by Benefit at the moment. Lately everything I've tried by them I've fallen for - not good news for my bank balance but great news for my make up bag (and said blog). This is the latest love in my life. I swear my entire base consists of Benefit at the moment...

So, this is their hydrating under eye concealer. It's unique in terms of holding the coloured concealer inside a balm of vitamin e and apple seed extract - this balm being the hydrating powerhouse behind the product. I pop a swipe of this under each eye, and then use my Real Techniques Foundation brush to blend outwards - or my ring finger depending on how lazy I'm feeling. I have it in the shade light, which is perfect for under my eyes.

I immediately see a difference under my eyes, they are brighter, and smoother. It's also incredibly long lasting. What I will say is that I don't particually like the balm around the concealer, I find it to be quite greasy under the eyes which is uncomfortable to wear, and where I can oily skin anyway, this isn't great. I find it's not so fab on blemishes as say my Collection Lasting Perfection concealer - but a girl can never have too many concealers, right?! What I would say is if it didn't have the band of balm around it I would like the product a lot more.

Have you tried Fake Up? What's your go to under eye concealer?

Make Up | Benefit Stay Flawless Primer

I popped over to Southampton Orange Rooms for the launch of this little beauty in May. This is Benefit's latest offering for long lasting make up. This is a 15 hour primer and is described as a magnet that holds your make up in place for up to 15 hours.

Lisa P-D, Head Trends Make Up Artist for Benefit showed us how to use it - apply in circular motions starting from the forehead and work your way around. We were warned that it will feel slightly sticky on application, which is does, but that it can be counteracted with make up applied over the top. This is also designed to be able to be used with PoreFessional, which is how I've been using it.

I found that PoreFessional was the best way to counteract the sticky feeling this primer leaves behind. Then Hello Flawless popped on top. In terms of lasting time, I would say that it doesn't tend to last as long without PoreFessional with it - and I think it's to do with my oily skin. PoreFessional works well at counteracting the oil whereas I don't think Stay Flawless is probably the best for oily skin.

Overall I do still think it's a great product. For me I need it with PoreFessional to be able to comfortably wear it and it stay on. I think this would be the perfect primer for other skin types. Saying that - I am still using it everyday and I do like it.

Make Up | Benefit Hello Flawless Foundation

BENEFIT HELLO FLAWLESS OXYGEN WOW IN IVORY BELIEVE IN ME £25.50*

After being invited to one of Benefit's Stay Flawless event in May, I was lucky enough to be gifted one of their Hello Flawless foundations. A few months ago I used a trial of this from my local Debenhams and really enjoyed using it, however was put off buying by the price tag - for me I just couldn't justify it at that moment in time. So when I found out we were getting one each I was super excited.

The colour is perfect for my tone. It's the pink toned version of their ivory and suits my skin tone to a tee, it's one of the closest matches I've ever found, if not the most perfect. It's incredibly light weight but gives a good, even, natural coverage. Enough to cover any annoying blemishes, but perfect for the summer. It's very easy to apply and blend in and as I said, looks very natural.

For me it's great as it's an oil free foundation, as a oily skinned person it's exactly what I need. It doesn't aggravate my oily skin. I am really finding it hard to pick out something bad about this product - apart from the price. But for me, right now it feels like it's worth the price as it is probably the best foundation I have ever used, for me. Plus it has a pump - high five for pumped foundations! (I cannot be the only one people)

Make Up | Primping with the Stars

BENEFIT PRIMPING WITH THE STARS SET £26.50*

When I went to an event held by Benefit last week I was lucky enough to win one of their new bestseller sets, "Primping with the Stars". We had a choice of the three and one of the reasons I chose this one was for Stay Don't Stray - I've been after sometime to combat my eyeliner transfering to the top of my lid and I'd heard this was the thing for it, so I was very excited to give it a go.
Within this set you get six of their best selling products ideal for creating a flawless finish.

Stay Don't Stray
This is an eye/concealer primer which you use on your lids for liner and shadow, and undereye for concealer. I've actually found this is really nice as an undereye concealer itself, it's quite a nice irridescent colour to pop underneath to brighten, but does also keep your eyes looking bright when concealer is applied as well. As an eyeliner primer it's amazing. I've been waiting for something like this for ages and I'm so glad - it keeps my eyeliner in place and doesn't transfer. When this is used up I will definitely be repurchasing and popping a full review on.

Some Kinda Gorgeous Foundation in Medium
I've not actuallly used this one too much as it's a bit too dark for me, so if I'm honest I can't really comment. Trying it out though it's very creamy and light and seems to give a nice natural coverage.

Benetint
OMG why have I not tried this before? Again, definitely something I will be purchasing when it runs out. It's Benefit's first ever product and is a cheek and lip tint. I've been using this as a blusher, I pop three dashes on the apple of my cheek and blend in circles around the apple quickly to create an even coverage and not huge stains. It lasts for hours and gives a gorgeous tint to the cheeks. Probably my favourite item from this set.

PoreFessional
I have done a full review on this before which you can see here so I won't say too much, but since using it this time it's really grown on me and I have no idea how I have used anything else. It's the perfect primer for oily skin and holds on my make up for hours. I've been pairing this with their new Stay Flawless primer and the two work perfectly together.

Girl Meets Pearl
This is a creamy pinkish highlighter, I think. I use it as a highlighter anyway. It's a really soft cream that I use across my cheek bones up to the end of my brow and creates a really nice glow. It comes out quite pink, but once applied goes a gorgeous pearl colour and goes really nicely with Benetint.

They're Real
Again, I've already done a full review which you can see here. But I'm so happy this was in the set as I've really missed having this mascara in my life as it is a beaut.

Overall I'm a little blown away by this set. I've been using nearly the whole thing everyday since I purchased it, and am dreading the day I run out of most of these products. I would highly recommend nabbing one of their sets if you want to just try some of their products out as they are perfect for that. However, warning: you will love them and you will have to repurchase the full size. You've been warned!

Event | Benefit Stay Flawless Launch

When I got the email from Benefit inviting me to their latest product launch it was a bit of a no brainer. I love Benefit Cosmetics, I can't always afford it so tend not to torture myself by spending hours drooling over their make up counters, but the products I have treated myself to I've loved.

The event took place at The Orange Rooms in Southampton (down Bedford Place if you're from the area). We were treated to mocktails (strawberry lemonade for me - I was driving) and lots of delicious nibbles including chicken and nachos. Yum.

The launch was for their brand new long wear primer, Stay Flawless, which is to be launched on the 29th June for £24.50, I will do a full review very soon. We had Head Make Up Artist Lisa P-D show us how to apply said primer and with their Hello Flawless foundation on top. We also had the chance to win some of their new sets showcasing some of their best sellers - little old me managed to win herself "Primping with the Stars" a set including Porefessional, Benetint, They're Real, Stay Don't Stray, Hello Gorgeous Foundation and Girl Meets Pearl. Not only that but we were treated to one of their new primers AND a Hello Flawless foundation in our colour. They were incredibly generous and really really lovely.

It was a lovely evening, and my first proper event so I was very excited and nervous. I met the lovely Corrie and Lauren, and managed to have a quick catch up with Kat and Lizzie as well. I was amazed by how many bloggers there are around my area - who knew!? Overall it was a really nice evening, and so far I am loving the primer. I will do a full review very soon so you all can get excited over it as well. Can't wait for the next one!!
