How to: Combat and Manage your Dark Circles

When I asked my friends what sort of content they'd like to see over May Madness, I had quite a few requests to talk about how to cover up dark circles. It's not a huge surprise seeing as they have young babies and toddlers! It's something I've also struggled with lately (thank you uncomfortable sleepless nights), so I decided it was time to pop on my testing and research hat and find the best ways to combat these dark circles and share my own tips and experiences.

Staying Motivated Working from Home

Working from home definitely has it's ups and downs. It has flexibility, you can work in your PJ's if you wish, and you don't have to leave the comfort of your own home. However, home is where distractions can be, so it can be really hard to focus down.

Life | The Realities of Owning a Cat

If you follow me on Instagram then you probably know I have a cat, I mean I post enough pictures of him. His name is Fred, and he is a member of my family. I've grown up with cats, I don't remember a time when we never owned a cat, so when I moved out is wasn't a question of if we get one, but of when. Enter Fred.. And a whole lot of realities I wasn't quite ready for.

Life | Balancing Work and Life

I'm not a full time blogger, as you probably all have guessed. Everyone my age has some sort of job, or career, that they spend their life working at, their life trying to prove their worth. I am one of those, working in a job that I enjoy,  I know I can do and I want to move up in. Wanting, and doing however, are two different things. So whilst I'm trying to prove that I can do my job well, and am worthy of moving up, I also have to remember to keep a good work and life balance.

Food | Autumnal Cinnamon Cookies

Totally on the opposite scale to healthy eating, I decided to cook up some autumnal treats. and nothing says autumn more than cinnamon. So I had a look through some recipes and cooked up my own version of these very yummy, light and tasty biscuits (or cookies... depending on what you want to call them).

Beauty | Budget Autumn Face

Autumn is officially here. The brisk mornings, the fallen leaves and the start of Strictly and X Factor. This also brings around the change in colour palettes dominating my make up drawers. Corals and pastels move to the bottom and back of the drawers, whist berries and bronzer s find their way to the front. With that in mind I created an autumnal make up look, which I've fallen in love with.

The Hack | Easy Smokey Eye - Or Is It?

I do love a smoky eye, however sometimes it's never as easy as it looks. A natural smoky eye is definitely one of those things. It looks great when it's done right, but it can look slightly drag queen-ish if it's overdone. It is very easy to look overdone. So when I found a hack on pinterest to make it easy as, I decided to give it a go...

The How To | Matching Bridesmaids Make Up to Dress

I don't know if you know this but I'm getting married next year and I'm getting to the stage of bridesmaid dress shopping. Choosing a dress that every one of your bridesmaids will be happy in is damn near impossible and there are so many different options now that you're spoilt for choice. Then, when you've finally chosen your dress comes the next hard part - choosing the make up to go with it.

How To | Engagement Shoot Make Up

When I first booked my photographer and was told we got a complimentary engagement shoot I was really quite excited. It wasn't until the actual day that I thought ah - on the wedding day I get someone professional to make me up, but no, not today. Today I do it myself. So, I had to think of a fair few things before I put my face on.

The Hack | Using Red Lipstick to Hide Dark Circles

When I saw this hack I was a bit stumped. I've heard of colour correcting, obviously, but I had just never ever thought to put red lipstick under my eyes. Has anyone else? Anyway, this hack seems to be everywhere I look at the moment so I thought I had better give it a good go and report back...

The How To | Five Product Face (Revisited)

I was looking through old posts the other day and came across one that was a five product face. The idea now is truly petrifying so I definitely wanted to give this another whirl. This is perfect for those days where I'm working from home, or in a rush - I still manage to get the basics done.

The How To | Easy Holiday Hair

Once thing I love about going on holiday is what it does to my hair. I've recently come back from a week away in a chateau, where I spent my entire time sat by a pool. For me, this meant air dry hair with sun and I just feel like my hair is always happier on holiday. Which sounds weird... Yes?

The How To | Transition into Summer

Whether it's summer or winter, I have a few products I make sure I use in each season. Why? Because different products are suited to different climates, and not only that, but your skin changes with the seasons as well. Leaves may go greener in summer, but my skin definitely gets oilier, which means I can't use some products I use in the colder months.

The How To | Gold & Bronze Summer Look

I'm loving wearing gold eyeshadow at the moment this summer, so I decided to embrace it and create a whole summer look based around the gold eyeshadow - which then included a s*it tone of bronzer, excuse my french.

The Life Post | Adulting

Adulting. Something everyone fears when they get past 20, but can't wait for throughout the tean years. It's amazing how many times me and my besties have messaged each other over the last few days going "I feel so grown up today" but really, why do we have to be grown up? Just because we're 25... *cough*

The How To | Creating a You/Beauty Icon Hybrid

I love playing with make up, which is probably why I write a beauty blog. It's fun to try new products, new looks and it's fun to try and recreate the looks of some of your favourite stars. I'm not a trained make up artist, or anywhere close for that matter, but then neither are most of you. Not everyone is a natural and not everyone can recreate the exact looks shown on some of our favourite beauty icons - but we can but try.

The How To | 3 Concealers... 3 Jobs...

First up, yes, I know, they are disgusting. but this is what concealers look like then they're used every damn day. They get messy. Moving on... If you saw yesterdays video you would have seen me use 3, yes 3, concealers. This is a daily thing for me as I find the best concealers for each "concealer job" are all seperate products...

The How To | "No Make Up" Make Up Look

I'm lucky enough that a couple of days a week I get to work from home - which usually means a lazy make up day. If I'm not going anywhere I just won't bother, however if I'm popping to the shop or going to see my Mum I'll put together my version of a no make up, make up look.

The Wedding Post | Choosing Your Initial Guest List

*Image sourced from Pinterest
This is something we put together fairly early on, before we look at venues, and I did actually find it easier than I thought. However, I know it can be really tricky to narrow it down and justify your choices. To help choose your perfect venue you need to know how many people you want for your ceremony and wedding breakfast to start, and then a rough idea of evening guests. But how can you make sure you've got the right people?
