The How To | Matching Bridesmaids Make Up to Dress

I don't know if you know this but I'm getting married next year and I'm getting to the stage of bridesmaid dress shopping. Choosing a dress that every one of your bridesmaids will be happy in is damn near impossible and there are so many different options now that you're spoilt for choice. Then, when you've finally chosen your dress comes the next hard part - choosing the make up to go with it.

I've put together three looks, inspired by three beautiful bridesmaid dresses from online store Aisle Style, it's an amazing website that lets you choose and look at hundreds of dresses for your wedding, whether it's your own, your bridesmaids or even guests. I would highly recommend a browse if you're planning.

This first dress is beautiful. The Illusion Neck Lace Bodice A-Line Long Chiffon Bridesmaid Dress comes in a plethora of colours, however navy is my favourite with lace. The dress itself is a dark, bold colour and the lace gives you the detail so you don't want the make up to take too much away from that. I would just give a natural satin base, not too matte, not too dewy, and would just make it flawless. I would then chisel those cheeks to perfection, really focusing on the highlight. For the eyes I'd want a small pop of metallic so would use a lovely gold shadow and smokey it out at the crease and corners, make it subtle but noticable. Lastly the lips should be a lovely nude, a touch darker than the natural lip colour to match the tone of the dress, but nothing fancy or over the top.

Next we have the beautifully sweet and simple A-Line Natural Sleeveless Backless Chiffon Bridesmaid Dress in a beautiful nude pink. It's so pretty and cute I just want to put it on and swish around. As the dress is so pale and simple, you can play the make up up a bit more. I would add a really nice smokey eye, but using browns as opposed to blacks to keep with the softer feel of the dress. For the cheeks I'd keep is super simple and  natural, using a peach blush and paler highlight just to give the look and feel of innocence. Then lastly I'd make a statement with a beautiful raspberry lip, but blend it a bit so it's not so hard against the softer lines of the dress.

Last we have this gorgeous green goddess dress. The shade of the Lace Natural Zipper Strapless Knee-Length Bridesmaid Dress is divine, it's simple and class so I've tried to copy that formula in the make up choices. Think Taylor Swift basically..... But there would be a nice light, natural eyeshadow with a last all day liquid liner, framing the eyes with the classic winged edge. Bronze the face and chisel the cheeks to create the most perfect face shape. Then lastly, finish the lips with the most perfect red lipstick you can find. Classic, beautiful and simple - much like the beautiful dress itself.

All of these dresses have been taked from Aisle Style who have kindly sponsored this post. Click here to browse their website. I've become addicted to browsing the bridesmaid section! There is a massive range of prices, styles and colours so there really is something for everyone.
