The How To | Easy Holiday Hair

Once thing I love about going on holiday is what it does to my hair. I've recently come back from a week away in a chateau, where I spent my entire time sat by a pool. For me, this meant air dry hair with sun and I just feel like my hair is always happier on holiday. Which sounds weird... Yes?

I have thick hair, which normally goes quite straight with a slight wave, however, on holiday it gets more wavy, more beach babe and I love it. However, keeping it in that style back home never works. I have since however managed to find two amazing budget hair products that help me to recreate my holiday hair - at least as much as I can.

It starts with wet hair - as it always does. I wash my hair with moisturising shampoo and conditioners - if I'm using anything on my hair I like to make sure it's hydrated as much as possible. At the moment I'm in love with Charles Worthington's Moisture Seal range, it's amazing for my hair. I then leave my hair in a towel for around 20-30 minutes to try to absorb a lot of the moisture, then I brush it out with my wet brush. Then, whilst my hair is wet I take the Tresemme Perfectly (Un)done Waves Creating Foam, squirt twice in my hand and scrunch through the bottom 2/3 of one side of my hair, then do the same on the other side. I then let it air dry - this gives the most natural finish to it.

Once it's dried I just double check the waves and make sure I'm happy with them, if not I'll add a couple with my GHD straighteners, then I'll give the whole lot a spritz with the Charles Worthington Volume and Bounce Texturising Spray, which just gives it a bit more texture and helps to give it more hold. I'm really pleased with how it looks at the moment, I feel like I'm bringing some of my holiday home with me!

Until next time, Lisa May xo
