The How To | Five Product Face (Revisited)

I was looking through old posts the other day and came across one that was a five product face. The idea now is truly petrifying so I definitely wanted to give this another whirl. This is perfect for those days where I'm working from home, or in a rush - I still manage to get the basics done.

Nowadays I definitely use a good few products, but summer is definitely the best time of year to take on a lighter mask, and these five are firm favourites.

So, after my skincare routine in the morning (including primer - totally cheating) I pop a dollop of the Nuxe Creme Prodigieuse DD Cream, which is a great all day base. The finish is even, the coverage is great and it lasts all day. It has great moisturising properties with added SPF so it's the perfect leave alone base. I buff it in with my Real Techniques Buffing brush, and then take little bits on my index finger and blend under the eyes and over blemishes for extra coverage. I did have trouble deciding between bronzer and blush, however thanks to my recent holiday I went for a blush. The Bourjois Aqua Blush is so easy to apply and blends really nicely with this base. Take half a pump on the tips of your fingers, rub together, and then blend up the cheek bones starting with the apple. This shade was Think Pink, and gives a lovely natural flush.

Next we move onto eyes, and honestly I couldn't go without some sort of liner, so I went for my trusty Collection Fast Stroke Liquid Liner, super easy to apply and super long lasting, even without a base. It's super black and helps to make this look seem like there's a whole lot more than five products to it. Then, add a few flicks of the Maybelline Lash Sensational Lash Multiplying Mascara, lengthens the lashes without any problems and holds the curl really well. I personally find the waterproof version holds a lot longer than the normal one.

Lastly I pop down to lips, and a good tinted balm is my go to right night. I love the Benefit balms, particually PosieBalm, it's a beautiful subtle colour with great moisture and just finishes the whole look off.
