Rewind five years and there wasn't even a unicorn emoji, now there's unicorn themed things everywhere. One of my besties has a unicorn phone case with glitter, and on many occasions I have just sat playing with the glitter and unicorns. Like a totally normal human being does. The beauty industry is now different.

I wanted to start a new little feature as a thank you to all of you guys. So what I'm going to do, instead of a favourites post at the end of every month, I'm going to do a wee little giveaway to say thanks to you guys for sticking with me. It will only be a small one every month, it will be the top 3 products that I've loved that month. I love my blog, but those days when I'm feeling blue and unloved the fact that you guys are still here and still reading really spurs me on so that's why I want to say a big thanks.

Giveaway | The Skin Regime

The perfect complexion is something that we all strive for. Even girls who (on the outside) have the perfect complexion. Dana Ramos has been through all of this and has written this fantastic little book, The Skin Regime. All the way from the US (or if you're in the US not all the way) I was sent this book and a sample peel to try out, just to see if I would be interested and well, this book is actually great.

It's a funny and completely honest account of skin care and products on the market. I'm not going to completely ruin the book for you as I really would recommend it. It gives recommended products, routine and pit falls not to fall into. It's pretty safe to say this has changed my view point on skin care. Am I going to stop using all my usual skin care products? Probably not - I am a beauty blogger so I will always be seduced by different products. But I will definitely take me time over them now, and I am definitely going to get the products recommended in the book.

Okay, so the peel itself - the routine for using it is inside the book - but I was sent a very gentle peel to try out. Initially a very weird sensation, and was a bit anxious about using it due to the whole "peel" element. But honestly, it was a gentle sample, so although my skin felt a little sensitive afterwards, there was no adverse affect and my skin did look better after a couple of days.

I would highly recommend taking a look at this book and giving the Regime a go. So, I am incredibly excited to announce my FIRST EVER INTERNATIONAL GIVEAWAY. My Memories Suite & Giveaway

If you're like me, you love photos and anything scrapbooky. So when I was offered the My Memories Scrapbook software to try out I jumped at the chance and I've had so much fun playing with it. It's ridiculously easy to use and it produces gorgeous scrapbook templates, as well as letting you create your own completely from scratch. it's digital scrapbooking software that allows you to do more tha just create a scrapbook! These are some pages I created for a "family" scrapbook using one of My Memories templates. I'm so please with how they have come out!

It's a fab bit of software and it's perfect for creating personalised Christmas pressies - I personally have been using it to create a little memento for Adam as it's our 5 year anniversary at the end of this month (shh don't tell him and don't worry - he doesn't read this!). It's great for all occassions!

This is a sneak peak at the software it'self - as you can see it's really self explanatory. Down the right hand side it has all the ways to imput images as well as edit them, same with text, overlays, embellishments. It has a HUGE range of different kits to customise your scrapbook.

So, I feel I need to say something about this.

As you may see, one of my friends is called Amber and I don't want to lie to you - this is the same Amber.

Hand on heart I did NOT rig this at all, I didn't keep asking for a winner until I got her. She came up.

In the spirit of full disclosure, there was a winner chosen before her, however after checking I found she was not a GFC follower as stipulated by the T&C's so I rechose. This is when Amber came up.

The reason I wanted to say this is because I know it might look a bit suspicious that one of my own friends has won my giveaway and I know some of you may not believe that it was honest to god, chosen by rafflecopter and not me. I don't want to lie to you guys and I don't want to rip you guys off in anyway, you make my blog the success it is today and I couldn't be more thankful for that. L'Oreal Caresse Lipstick & Giveaway

L'Oreal Caresse Lipstick

As seen here I'm a big fan of Revlon's Lip Butters, so when I heard L'oreal had a similiar version, the Caresse, I was dying to give it a go. Plus, in Superdrug they were 3 for 2 so how could I say no?

I picked up 3, in tempting lilac, nude ingenue and lovely rose. I wanted three that were different from each other and from what I usually use. I have to say I love the pigmentation, they aren't overwhelming like a lip stick, more like a lip balm or a gloss, yet you still get that hint of gorgeous colour.

I love the feel of this product. Putting it on my lips is amazing, it's easy to apply, good coverage and it just feels so moisturized as well. It's so balmy going on and I just love the feel of it, more so then the Revlon Lip Butters (I'm sorry!).

The only thing I would say about this product is that the colour doesn't last very long, probably an hour tops and that is without drinking or eating anything so it'll require lots of applications throughout the day, which means it'll run out quickly.

So what do I think of the three I bought?

Tempting Lilac

This has a definite lilac tone to it, but is very subtle which I love as I'm not a loud lip person. It is similar to lovely rose, but in the flesh you can definitely tell the difference due to the lilac in the colour.

Nude Ingenue

This is definitely nude. You can hardly tell it is on when it is, which I quite like actually as it still gives your lips a shimmer with a light tone of bronze.

Lovely Rose

A pale pink that is very in right now, but a more subtle version. It's a gorgeous colour and is definitely one of those suitable for night time as well as daytime. 

This product is £7.99 and available in Boots and Superdrug. I would definitely still pick this up again and probably in some more colours when I get the chance. I really do rate the product and would certainly recommend it.
