The Review | Lush Cupcake Mask

LUSH CUPCAKE FACE MASKI had a little Lush haul a few weeks ago and this face mask was the first thing I really wanted to try. I'm falling head over heels for so many masks lately and this was no exception, I love it. If I'm honest I only really got it because of the chocolatey goodness. It's a multi task mask, with ingredients to draw out impurities, tone and moisturise. I have to admit, I'm not a huge fan of the smell, it isn't a chocolatey smell at all. That's the only downside. It's comfortable on the face and so nourishing. My skin feels silky smooth and clean afterwards. I have fallen head over heels with this, which is great as I wasn't too keen on their Mask of Magnaminty which was the first mask of theirs that I tried. I would definitely recommend this little beauty to anyone and all skin types as it seems to have something for everyone. The only other downside would be the pot - I think it's just a little messy, however it's really easy to store as I can just stack my Lush tubs up!What Lush masks would you recommend?

Review | Peppermint Intensive Foot Rescue

THE BODY SHOP PEPPERMINT INTENSIVE FOOT RESCUE £9.00

When I signed up to be a Body Shop Rep (no more...) I got to buy my own kit to take to parties and demonstrate. Now I've left I'm lucky enough to keep my entire kit and the product I am the most excited about keeping is this.

It's an overnight foot "mask" to help revive tired feet and keep them looking and feeling healthy. First things first - this smells a-mazing. I've never really been one for minty smells, but I can't get enough of this. It's incredibly strong, but I just love it.

Now the product itself. I use this around twice a week for a refresh. I work in a shop so I am constantly on my feet, and where my right foot has been encased in a bandage for the past two weeks it's really needed that refresh. So, before I pop to bed, I just cover the bottom of my feet with this mask, massaging into my feet as I go, pop them under my bed and head off to sleep. When I wake up my feet feel lovely, soft and basically happy... I have happy feet!

It's not too greasy so you don't have to worry about getting your sheets all greasy over night, but if you're concerned it works just as well with socks to protect your sheets as well.

So, I really do love this product and I don't know what me, or my feet, would do without this - definitely a must have if you have a job that requires you to be on your feet all time!

What do you use to create happy feet?

Spa Magik Mud Mask

As well as being sent the amazing Spa Find Dermal Extract (see here) and many other samples to try out I was sent this little beauty - Spa Magik Mud Mask.
This mask contains mud from the Dead Sea to remove deep seated impurities and replace essential minerals in the skin. You apply it onto face and neck and leave for 1 - 5 minutes and then remove. I used a muslin cloth for this.

I found it quite hard to apply as it started to dry almost instantly on my skin, however once it was on it felt comfortable - unlike a lot of other masks that makes me feel like I can't smile while it's on. The black of the mask did scare me a little at first, but hey ho! All in the name of beauty and reviewing!

I'd read a couple of other reviews on this and found that most people removed the mask a couple of minutes in, so after around 3 minutes I took it off (poor poor muslin cloth has never looked so black!). My skin felt dried out after taking it off - which is probably a good thing thanks to my oily skin! After about 10 minutes my skin started to feel soft and look rejuvenated. Also, as my skin has decided to rebel against me at the moment, I was happy to see all redness has reduced dramatically and my skin just looked so much healthier. When the mask is on you can see your pores so clearly and they really opened them up - so I think using a muslin cloth was the best thing I could have used to removed it as it also took all impurities out of it as well.

You can buy this product here and get 75ml for £7.70 and I would definitely recommend this product. Look past the scary black face above and take the plunge!
