The Review | Montagne Jeuness Black Seaweek & Hot Spring Sauna

MONTAGNE JEUNESSE BLACK SEAWEED PEEL OFF MASQUE* AND HOT SPRING SAUNA*

I love using a face mask as a little pick me up and I think Montagne Jeunesse's offerings are cheap, cheerful and affective. I was very happy with both of these as they do completely different things but are both perfect for my skin type. I get oily skin and as the weather gets warmer it gets worse so I have to work really hard to keep it clean and clear - quick and easy masks like this are ideal!

The Black Seaweed Peel Off Masque is a detox mark - it cleanses deeply and the peel off factor gets rid of any dirt and grease left on the skin. Personally I'm not a huge fan of peel off masks but I did really like how this left my skin. It felt so cleansed and grease/oil free.

The Hot Spring Sauna is definitely my favourite of the too. It's a self warming mask (feels a little weird but very luxurious) which helps to open up the pores for a deep clean and exfoliation. My skin was left looking brighter then ever incredibly clean.

Both masks are only a £1 and can be found in your local high street Boots and Superdrug. I would highly recommend them!

Life | Girls Night In or Out?

Lately when it comes to organising a night out I just cannot be dealing with it. Money wise I just cannot justify – but it seems I’m not the only one! A survey of 2000 UK women by Ladbrokes Bingo showed that 69% of women asked preferred to stay in with the girls instead of going out. I, for one, would definitely agree. The last couple of times I’ve gone out it’s just ended in some sort of drama, or it’s just too expensive. Drink prices and entry fees are going up and I can’t afford it.
So instead I tend to have a night in with the girls. Ladbrokes Bingo survey showed that activities included on a night in includes watching films, pampering/spa treatments and takeaways. Well I can definitely recommend all three – so here are my top five tips for a fab night in with the girls!
1.       Stick to the classics. This includes cookie dough ice cream, chick flicks, pajamas and sleeping bags. These are classics for a reason.
2.       Don’t get expensive pampering bits for your spa session. You’re not there for actual results – just the fun. So grab some masks from Montagne Jeunesse, nail polishes from Barry M and use make up you already have.
3.       Dominoes is a must – and they always have a deal on. Currently they have a £20 deal which gets your two medium pizzas, potato wedges, garlic bread and a bottle of Coke – it’s a bargain and yummy yum yum!
4.       Go Disney – you cannot go wrong with a Disney classic. I cannot count the amount of times I’ve had a night in with a good Disney film, singing along. Or even a Disney soundtrack – many a time we’ve been dancing around the room to a classic Disney song (usually I just Can’t Wait to be King from the Lion King) with a glass of wine in hand.
5.       Wine – don’t get the expensive stuff. There will always be a nice bottle on offer (usually in Sainsburys). My personal favourite is Gray Fox Rose which is usually £5 in Sainsburys.

I do love a great girls night in - you honestly can't beat it and it seems most of the UK is of that mind as well!

Passion Peel Off

MONTAGNE JEUNESSE PASSION PEEL OFF MASK £1.09*

Happy Valentines Day readers! As a treat I got sent this lovely card from Montagne Jeunesse which includes a little treat so that I can pamper myself for my V.Day plans! Let me introduce you to the Passion Peel off, a peel off face mask containing pomegranate and passion flower designed to gently peel away dead skin to leave you face feeling clean and fresh for that big date.

The mask itself smells gorgeous, so fruity I literally could have eaten it. It's really easy to apply and remove as well - the thing that always worries me about peel off masks is leaving bits behind but the removes so easily and quickly it's fab.

My skin felt so clean afterwards as well and was noticeably brighter, definitely felt ready for my valentines plans!

I'm not actually doing anything with Adam tonight as I'm at college until half 9 (eek!) so Adam is taking me out over the weekend, it's a complete surprise, all I know is I need to wear a dress! Cannot wait and I will definitely be repurchasing this to give my face a little boost for my night!

This product is now available from Asda as well as other leading retailers, as well as online at www.montagnejeunesse.com and as always their products are always suitable for vegetarians and they use natural products where possible.

Montagne Jeunesse Exotic Fruit Masks

Montagne Jeunesse Exotic Fruits Masks £1.29 each*

Montagne Jeunesse have expanded their already fantastic natural skin care range to include their new exotic fruits collection. It includes Dragon Fruit Sauna, Pawpaw Peel Off and Prickly Pear Peel Off. Each mask contains natural ingredients that take advantage of their natural goodness to aid in making the most of your beautiful skin.

As always with MJ products, I really enjoyed using them. The Dragon Fruit Sauna was a bit weird cause it was quite warm when it went on, but it was really nice and really cleansing. It made my skin feel really nourished and clean. The Pawpaw Peel Off is a peel one, it smells a-ma-zing! Really love the smell and it really unclogs your pores. It's a definite freshen up for your skin and did leave my face feeling very clean and clear. Prickly Peak Peel Off - not prickly at all, it's lovely and smooth and left my skin feeling really soft and smooth and nourished.

Overall, this collection is really great and I would definitely recommend giving it a go if you're a face mask fan!

As always, these products are suitable for vegetarians and Montagne Jeunesse look to use natural products where possible. You can get these mask from Asda, Boots and Montage Jeunesse online here.

Montagne Jeunesse Clay Spa Range

Montagne Jeunesse Clay Spa Face Masks £1.49 each*

Another fab product I've had for a while but haven't gotten round to reviewing! Bad blogger. Montagne Jeunesse are one of my favourite budget beauty mask brands and they have very kindly sent me masses of masks recently to review for them. This set is part of their new Clay Spa range, which are a tad different to their other masks.

They infuse natural bamboo fabric with the clay, which creates a circular piece of cleansing material which you place over your face. This scared me a tad when I first saw this, however I needn't be afraid! It did feel a bit weird putting the fabric mask on, definitely a different experience from the usual masks and I'm pretty sure I looked like something out of a horror movie.

The two masks I tried were Dead Sea Mud and Glacial Clay. The Dead Sea Mud is full of dead sea minerals (as implied by the name) which makes it fab for deep cleansing and drawing out all the little impurities. Having used a dead sea mask before I had something to compare this two, and I did actually prefer this one. I felt it really did just cleanse my skin that little bit better; and Glacial Clay is really good for refreshing your skin.

Out of the two I would say that my skin looked and felt a lot cleaner after using the Dead Sea Mud mask, however it felt a lot more refreshed and calmed when using the Glacial Clay. I would definitely use that one for when my face just needs a bit of calming down and redness needs reducing.

My only teeny tiny gripe with this is the packaging. It looks lovely, however it just seems like a lot of packaging to give two masks and I was stuck with a mass amount of cardboard afterwards. It could make a really nice Christmas pressie though.

All Montagne Jeunesse products are vegetarian approved, made from natural ingredients and free from parabens. You can find their products in Boots and Asda, and you can also buy online at www.montagnejeunesse.com

Montagne Jeunesse Travel Pamper Pack

I was kindly sent over this travel pack from Montagne Jeunesse and was very excited to try the products. I've seen this brand plastered all over blogs recently and getting good reviews so I really wanted to love all of these products.
This pack comes with six satchels including:
x1 Foot Cooler
x1 Passion Peel Off Mask
x1 Skin Smoother
x1 Intensive Hair Mask
x2 Body Washes

As you all probably know (because I say it quite a lot) I'm not going on a summer holiday this year... However, why not try it out for future holidays as I WILL be going on a summer holiday next year.

Foot Cooler
I walk to and from work everyday, so by the time I get home my feet are in needs of some TLC. It's to be used after a hot day out and about in a hot sunny country (sob!) but I don't have that. So I used it in this context. It smells of blueberries (scrummy) and my feet really do love this product. It helped to calm them and reduce the ache. Love love love.

Passion Peel Off
I remember using peel off face masks in my school sleepover days and I hated them. So I was a little wary about using this. First of all the smell was incredible, I was very tempted to just eat it. It went on quite easily which was nice and coverage was good. There was just about enough to cover my face. It dried quite quickly, but I left it for around 10 minutes before peeling off. I did feel like I couldn't move my face for the entire time but hey, didn't bother me that much! It peeled off really easily. Once you had one part the rest came off easily. It left my skin feeling refreshed and clean and calmed my redness. All in all, happy with the mask!

Skin Smoother
I'm really not a fan of exfoliators (sorry!) so all in all this just didn't appeal to me. I put it on and it just seemed scratchy. This could just be my aversion to exfoliators though and not the product itself. I have to give it its due though, it smells gorgeous. Again, this is probably just me!

Intensive Hair Mask
Again, smelt gorgeous in the shower. It has a lime scent and I'm a big fan of citrus smells so this was right up my street. My hair is quite thick, so I have to admit there wasn't enough product in the sample for my hair to condition it as well as I'm used to, but from what was conditioned it smelt good and felt soft and bouncy. I only wish there was more of it to use!

Body Washes
This has an orange smells, again big thumbs up from me, hello more citrus! It went on really well, lathered like you'd want and cleansed perfectly. I was left smelling of oranges for the day so all in all, happy Lisa.

All of Montagne Jeunesse products are suitable for vegetarians and they always look to use natural products, which I like to look for with beauty products and I know a lot of other people do as well.
I would recommend this set if you're travelling somewhere, it's only £5 and is available on their website here. There is only enough in each packed for one use so it would be used on a short trip, but I do love the products supplied here.

Have you tried Montage Jeunesse products? What products do you recommend when travelling?
