Skin Care | Dr Jackson

A little while ago I was offered the chance to try some new products from brand Dr Jackson. It's an all natural skin care brand that I've not heard before but was definitely excited to try it. I love the idea of natural products, I really do believe it's so much better for your skin and I just feel better about myself when using natural products.

First up in Dr Jackson Natural Products Face Oil* (from mankind.co.uk). It's a unisex product that can be used to aleviate having burn and improve your complexion. This product is said to improve the appearance of your complexion, by improving the firmness of your skin, banish dryness, even your skin tone and soothe inflamation. I was using this every evening before bed after my moisturiser and I have to say this stuff is magic. It feels like luxury to apply, and although I was a bit apprehensive as I have oily skin, it didn't aggravate this. It left my skin feeling supple, yet firm and hydrated when I woke up and I've not needed to use as much moisturiser since I've been using this. Score!

Then we have Dr Jackson Natural Products Coconut Melt Everything Balm* (from mankind.co.uk). This is a balm to help counteract the signs of ageing, and helps to repair damaged hair and skin. It's infused with coconut oil which I've heard is just the ticket for dry hair. Since I've had highlights I'm worried about dry ends, so after washing I pop some of this in the ends and it seems to be a miracle worker. The ends are supple and healthy. In terms of skin I pop this on every other evening as a moisturiser before bed and I wake up with soft healthy skin. I can't vouch for anti ageing properties as I'm not yet at that stage - but as a moisturising balm it's a gorgeous product.

If you're looking for a new organic skin brand then I would definitely recommend Dr Jackson - just the two products I've tried have sold me on the brand, I love it.

How I Style | Breton T-shirt

It's been a while since I've done a "how I style" post, so I thought I'd do one with a tshirt I have been coveting ever since I saw it, but been holding back due to funds opps. So, without further ado let me introduce you to Topshop's breton tee in red, I love it! 

Look One | Shopping 

This tshirt is just crying out to be worn with white jeans, it's the perfect look, comfortable and chic. Team with black accessories, chain necklace, boots and bag and you have a colour pop stylish outfit, with the feel of being effortless. 

Look Two | Cocktails

You can't really go wrong with a black midi pencil skirt these days. Incredibly simple, yet stylish. Keep it simple with these gorgeous nude Loubs (red on bottom yes) and Lulu Guinness, classic lips clutch.

Look Three | Beach

Just a typical, classic beach look - and nothing wrong with that! Pale, cut off jean shorts are a no brainer with breton. Team it with wayfarers (real or lookalike), havianas and a woven beach bag and you are good to go!

So there you go, three sure fire ways to chic up one simple tee. It's so good, I may have accidently purchased it while making this post. Whoops!

Life | Just Around the River Bend

This was almost definitely my favourite day of the entire holiday. Last time we went to France (four years ago) we went here, St Guilhem et Desert, a little town right up in the hills, and this year we decided to revisit. It's a gorgeous little medieval town, with the quintiscental town square and mini shops and cafes. After a little wonder and some lunch we popped a little down hill for some canoeing. Or kayaking, I can never tell the difference.

The scenery was breath taking, it was in the middle of this huge gorge, surrounded by trees and hills, just the perfect setting really. Dragonflies were everywhere, literally landing on us quite happily, I made a little friend called Perry (above). I have to admit, I am rubbish at paddling, Adam did have to do most of the work, but I just don't have the arm strength to do it... Plus I was busy taking photos - much more important!

It was a lovely lovely day. We had great fun splashing around, with my Dad photobombing us (thanks Dad, love you too) and generally relaxing. I would highly recommend you going if your near, we had to drive about an hour to get there, but it's well worth it. We used a company called "Rapide Canoe", they were a bit useless down by the river but hey, didn't spoil it for us in the slightest.

Make Up | Coral Bliss

MAC LIPSTICK IN CORAL BLISS £15

Ladies and gentlemen, it is my priviledge to introduce you to my favourite lipstick. Ever. I know, bold statement BUT o so very true.

I bought this at Gatwick duty free - just swatching lots of different colours, mainly corals for my hols, and instantly fell in love with this. I hadn't seen any previous reviews or anything like that, it was just love at first sight.

Described as a "frosted light coral" i would agree with the light coral, but it's not frosty on me at all, thankfully as I'm not a frosty kind of gal. it's a peach coral, which is different to what I usually buy and a new shade to my collection. I was a bit worried it would make me look a little ill, but it helps to warm the complexion and was the perfect holiday colour. Now, at home, I wear it most days to work as a hint of colour. I just love this.

If you are going to buy one MAC lipstick, make it this one. I think it needs a bit more hype that it has - but at the same time it's kind of like my little secret love. Gorgeous. Go, bye!
