Any Size | Birds

Here we are again with a new Any Size! It's a lot easier to try and do every two weeks as opposed to every week so I'm definitely going to do it that way from now on. This week I decided to go with birds - an autumnal trend that coincidentally fits with one of my new fave dresses... Maybe not so much of a coincidence!

Size 8 | Paige from Paige Joanna
Second time this week this lady has appeared on T&M! I love this dress, the print is adorable and the fit of the dress compliments her figure perfectly. Her slim legs means she gets away with coloured tights with ease as well. This is the perfect bird outfit for her shape and size.

Size 10 | Me from Topaz & May
A very baggy-eque dress so looks bigger then a 10 but I promise it is! I love the colours in the dress and the dark of the dress hides any curves I don't fancy drawing attention to on the day! At the same time the dress doesn't swamp me. Love it.

Size 12 | Victoria from Victoria's Vintage
This is a super super cute blouse that I am now coveting desperately. Teamed with the ever handy skater skirt and you have the perfect bird outfit for her figure. It's a subtle way of introducing a bird print without it taking over the entire outfit.

Size 14 | Sera from The Agoraphobic Fashionista
This dress is uber slimming on Sera, a smaller print is meant to be better for "larger" (hate saying that) sizes and this dress looks gorgeous on her. Very fashionable as a midi and styled incredibly well with the gorgeous pink hair, kudos to Sera!

I had some AMAZING bloggers take part this week so a huge thanks to them. My next theme is going to be "Skater Skirts"... Get in touch if you want to take part, I am looking for all sizes so find me on twitter @topazandmay

Any Size | Tartan

O look! It's back! After a mini hiatus Any Size is back with a new trend, slightly new banner design and a new time schedule as well. Every week was beginning to get a bit stressful, trying to organise bloggers every week etc. So it'll now be every other Friday.
This week we are focusing on one of my fave autumn trends... Tartan! So let's meet this weeks Any Size bloggers...

Size 8 | Georgina from Georgina Goodman
With her tiny frame this skirt and crop top combo really show her off her figure and show a more night time way to sport this tartan look.

Size 10 | Lisa from Topaz & May (o yes, me!)
I love the colours of this tartan dress, making it a bit different from the norm. It's a large sized dress, so looks bigger than a 10 but really cute as well.

Size 12 | Sammie from Love From Sammie
I love these leggins, and i love this look as it really goes to show you don't have to be stick thin to wear patterned leggings. Such a simple yet chic daytime look

Size 14 | Kel from Kel Loves
Again, different colours to the usual tartan and i love how shes styled it with the colour pop cardie. This dress really compliments her figure, really love this daytime look.

Coming up I have Any Size: Birds... Am in need of a size 12 and 14 so if you can give me a shout over on twitter (@topazandmay). If you want to take part in any at all, give me a shout there too!

Also don't forget to enter my September Giveaway here ... You could win Mac, Essie and Maybelline!

Any Size | Dungarees

Dungarees seem to be such a summer staple this year - definitely takes me back to my youth (yes I sound like an oldie). This week I have some GORGEOUS bloggers... Again, missing my size 14 - girls where are you?! But lets see who we do have... Two repeats and a beaut newbie!

Size 8 | Paige from Paige Joanna
A brand new BEAUT of a blogger for dungarees, I love the yellow shirt underneath and the quirky twist - the clash of yellow and red with the softness of the denim and the hat makes this girl look super stylish and so much fun.

Size 10 | Chelsea from Through Chelsea's Eyes
Back again! We love having Chelsea here! Here she works the boyish look with her dungarees, with the element of hotness with the stripey crop top - she is definitely looking hot and shows how dungarees can be sexy as well as slouchy.

Size 12 |  Ally from Tea Toast and Daisy Chains
Her second week running - she's on a roll and I'm happy to have her! Having stolen her boys jeans (love it) she is rocking this look. Popping some stripes and the adorable head scarf, it's great. Showing a tom boy edge with the girlishness of the scarf, really works for me.

Big thank you to these girlies, have loved having them and I've loved seeing the shoots from this any size - I've not gone into this trend yet but hey, you never know. If you want to get involved with Any Size let me know... I am sending out an SOS to all those size 14 and over to get in touch - am in desperate need, it's not any size without you gorgeous girls so please give me a shout!

Any Size | White Dress

As you can see I am missing one size, unfortunately I couldn't find anyone to do size 14 for me, but we still have three gorgeous ladies showing us how to style their little white dress - a summer staple for sure for any size...

Size 8 | Callie from cllrs
I love this dress. Teaming her little white dress with denim is a classic summer look that you cannot go wrong with, popped with her ankle boots toughens the look and keeps it chic and stylish.

Size 10 | Chelsea from Through Chelseas Eyes
One of my fave ever bloggers and regular any sizers, Chelsea looks gorgeous in this 50s style prom dress. It's the perfect summer evening dress, simple accessories and fab wavy hair. Love this look, hello tiny waist!

Size 12 | Ally from Tea Toast and Daisy Chains
Ally is putting a fab twist on the little white dress, putting it with a classic blazer but make the entire look seem very rock and roll. Really suits her and I love the twist on this.

A big thank you to all three girlies, you'll be seeing Chelsea and Ally again next week - be excited!!
If you are interested in getting involved let me know, in particular I need more size 14's for Any Size..!

Any Size | Crop Top

Crop top is a scary word. For me, it's definitely a scare and I've just recently been braving this trend. But these girls above are ROCKING it and looking super sexy while they do. So let's check out my sexy, confident any sizers this week...

Size 8 | Beth from Birds Words
If you don't know Beth you should. This girl is GORGEOUS! And look how teeny that waist is! She rocks this sophisticated crop top look and shows you how to work it in a sexy secretary way. I may have developed a serious girl crush at this image...

Size 10 | Christy from Another Weekend Without Make Up
A definite rock skin spin on this trend and boy does she rock it. She looks incredible here, a printed tee with a dogstooth skirt is brave and she pulls it off with minimal effort. Total style icon here I love it and shows off her beautiful figure.

Size 12 | Sarah from Friday is Forever
A regular here on Any Size - she works the most casual look with some jeans and a simple crop tee and it looks so simple and yet so chic. It really works for her size, not making her look big and showing her gorgeous tum. Work that tum Sarah!

Size 14 | Meg from Mgnhndly
Showing you don't need to be a skinny minny to work that cropped look! Popping a midi pencil skirt with this simple tee is the perfect way to hide any lumps and bumps and she looks curvy and incredibly sexy, a really fab look!

A great big thanks to these girls above! All looking amazing and rocking this brave and sexy trend! If you want to get involved in Any Size, let me know - I have spaces for the following:
White Dress - size 8, size 14
Dungarees - size 8, size 14

Any Size | Maxi Dress

It's back! Any Size has had a bit of a hiatus for many different reasons - non of which I'll bored you with, all you need to know is... it's back! This week I've decided to go with Maxi dresses - a style that seriously anyone can wear, any size and it's so versatile. So let's take a peek at what the ladies have popped together this week!

Size 8 | Angharad from Style Trunk
blog  |  twitter  |  bloglovin
A truly gorgeous dress and a new take on maxi - maxi sleeves, maxi skirt, definitely maxi print. I love it and makes her look teeny tiny. Gorgeous gorgeous example.

Size 10 | Lisa from Topaz & May
Done when I have longer hair, but I love the bright colour of this dress and the way it comes in at the waist, showing curves by creating an hourglass figure.

Size 12 | Sarah from Friday is Forever
Showing you don't need to be a skinny minny for bright colours, this dress looks gorgeous on her, with the tie dye print elongating her figure and making her look amazing.

Size 14: Helen from Helen Hearts
I love this dress, the print is delicate enough that it doesn't overshadow her gorgeous curvy figure. The dress comes in at all the right places to give her a mini waist and a long body.

All these girls are gorgeous and rock this look completely! Showing how to wear it for their shape. At the moment I am looking for sizes in crop top, white dress, dungarees and spots. If you're interested in taking part contact me on twitter or by email lisa@topazandmay.com

Any Size | Returned

So, I've been getting requests as to when this is coming back onto T&M so yes - Any Size will be back! It went away for a little while as it was getting harder and harder to organise and collate everything, however I've missed doing it. I love the idea behind it and I've always had such good feedback - so I'm desperate to bring it back!

If you've not heard of it before, basically there are four bloggers a week of four different sizes who are given the same style to put together. The idea behind it is to show that all bloggers of all sizes are gorgeous in their own way and can be stylish no matter what.

I've has some amazing bloggers and woman take part - some incredibly inspirational. Click here to see all my Any Size posts - I've popped some examples above! If you'd like to get involved please send me an email at lisa@topazandmay.com. The ones I have coming up are:
Maxi Dress
High Waist
Crop Top
Spots
Little White Dress
Geometric
Dungarees

Please let me know what size you are and which you'd like to take part in - or if you have any ideas let me know! Can't wait to hear from you all! It will be first come first serve, so if you pop your top 3 for me that would be great! I will only take entries via email as well - easier for me to keep track of who is doing what, so make sure you do it that way!

Any Size | Leather

This week is another trend that's meant to be huge for spring, and the first in a while that i've not featured in! I asked you guys on Twitter what themes you thought I should do and this seemed to be a popular choice so voila! Any Size - Leather!

Again, no size 14 - please let me know if your this size and want to feature as I could do with more bloggers of this size!

size 8: Katrina from Carousel Diary
Spring shorts and leather in one go! Not only that but she's thrown in a gorgeous monochrome shirt to boot (slightly in love with this). Love this look on her and it's a subtle leather!

size 10: Laura Kate from Lolacolakate
Leather trim is definitely a way to do leather if you're not fully confident in a full leather item. It's a gorgeous skirt and the leather adds that extra chic feel to the entire outfit.

size 12: Hollie from H0lliedays
A classic leather jacket is definitely a safe way to try the leather trend and it never fails to look chic and stylish. I love this outfit and definitely on a hunt for a leather jacket now!

There isn't an Any Size next week, but it will be back the week after! Let me know if you have any suggestions for themes as well!

Any Size | Monochrome

Monochrome seems to be the big trend coming into the Spring so I thought this weeks Any Size should definitely reflect this.

Black is always said to be slimming, so surely monochrome suits all sizes? You bet it does! Take it a way any sizerss...

Size 8: Ellie from Maydoll
I love this outfit. The detail on the top is gorgeous and it's a great way to spice up the monochrome trend, of course Ellie always does gorgeous outfits so I couldn't be happier to have her on Any Size!

Size 10: Me
Mixing it up by teaming my maxi dress with a chunky knit for early spring and silver accessories. A easy lazy day monochrome look that can go into warmer springtime!

Size 12: Sarah from Friday is Forever
A reappearance for Sarah with this incredibly cute girly look that's perfect for work or a lunch date. Also a perfect look for early spring, remove the tights and you have a late spring look as well!

Size 14: Sera from The Agoraphobic Fashionista
So many trends in this outfit - clashing prints and monochrome with her gorgeous vibrant red hair. I love this outfit and it shows you don't have to be a mini to pull of patterns!

A massive thank you to Sarah and Sera for reappearing on Any Size - go visit their blogs!! And a massive thanks to Ellie for her first appearance and her excitement at taking part - makes me excited too!

Let me know what you think I should do for my next any size - would love some suggestions!!

Any Size: Florals

Who knew how hard it would be to find bloggers to do florals? I thought it would be so easy ... But apparently not! I just think it's such a versatile trend!

Dark florals are great for slimming and the winter, whereas brighter/paler florals can make you look bigger, or just there for the summer. So let's see how the bloggers took the challenge!

I've wanted Beth to feature for ages and she sent this months ago so am so glad it's finally up! How gorgeous does she look? Summer florals in a teeny dress #jealous #girlcrush (yes I'm using hashtags on my blog...)

The lovely Emma showing how to work florals in winter with a gorgeous bodycon, long sleeved dress. Definitely showing off her gorgeous curves here!

Showing off my favourite floral item, my Warehouse shorts. I think these shorts are great for a small hint of pattern and don't make my bum look ridiculously huge!

Again, showing how you only need a little bit of floral for it to make a big impact! Light florals can make you look bigger, but Jade works her way around this with just a touch and it works so well!

A big thanks to the little ladies above! Go and check out their blogs as you're in for a treat!! I'm in great company up here :)

As always, come find me on twitter if you wanna take part in an Any Size post!!

I'm on a roll with Any Size at the moment! And this week we have all four sizes - yay! This week we have a trend that seems to be growing and growing and I have recently jumped on it as well! Midi dresses! Let's see how this weeks bloggers rose to the challenge!

size 8: Laura from Tiny Twist
I love Laura's style and this midi dress looks amazing on her with the high bun. The colours are great and the bodycon style really suits her tiny figure.

size 10: Me
My first dress, very tight fitting but very lady like and flattering! Not so much in this picture.. but in real life it looks very flattering and I love it.

size 12: Jen from The Big Burd
Mixing two trends, midi dresses and velvet and this looks gorgeous on her, the colour suits her skin tone perfectly and makes her look teeny tiny!

size 14: Laura from Chambray and Curls
Showing that bodycon midi dresses suit all shapes and sizes, and showing you how to style the trend for an every day look as well. I love it!

Big thanks to my Any Size bloggers, Laura from Tiny Twisst for featuring again and for Jen for stepping in at the last minute. And the other Laura for such a fab look!

Any Size: Checked Shirt

So, I saw someone say the other day that checked shirts were just for the "larger sizes" as it hides a multiple of sins. Now, I totally disagree - checked shirts are for everyone! I know some people think they are unflattering for smaller sizes but nuhu, totally wrong.

Now, again I am missing my size 14... This is due to a technical issue at her end! But she will be featuring in Any Size in the future - I blame technology! So just three of us again, unfortunately! So here we go...

size 8: Chelsea from Through Chelsea's Eyes
SO happy to have Chelsea on here, one of my fave bloggers styling a gorge shirt with some denim shorts, and fab pink dip dyed hair. Love it!

size 10: Me
I always feel like I need to wear mine whilst slouching, so I've teamed mine for leggins, a baggy vest and a woolly hat. Perfect for a lazy day off. O and can't forget arthur!

size 12: Gillian from Gillian Etc
Gillian has returned in this really cute outfit. Showing that checked shirts can be worn smart. This is such a geek chic look and I love it!

As always a huge thanks to those involved in todays post! I'm very excited for next weeks as I love the theme and hopefully there will be FOUR of us!!

Any Size: Aztec

YES! Any Size is back :) I took a little break from Any Size for a number of reasons and I've really missed doing it, and I know you guys have as well so voila! It's made a welcome return! If you haven't seen these before, basically the idea is that 4 bloggers each week of 4 different sizes take on the challenge of sending me an outfit all the same "style". This is to show that "any size" can be fashionable.

This week, the Any Size bloggers have tackled Aztec. It's a trend that seems to come and go, and one that some people shy away from as they are scared of either the pattern or the bright colours. So how did we do it?

Now, I know there should be four of us, but unfortunately I couldn't find any size 14/16s etc who wanted to take part in this week so it's just us three!

Size 8: Kayleigh from Couture Girl
I'm sorry but WOW. A gorgeous girl in a really gorgeous dress. I love the bright bold colours and the pattern and how it showcases her gorgeous figure.

Size 10: Me
I think if you're not sure about aztec then definitely go for a simple, dark pattern to tone it down and wear as a simple day look.

Size 12: Victoria from Victoria's Vintage
A gorgeous bodycon skirt, showing that you don't have to be a size 8 like Kayleigh to pull this look off! She looks gorgeous and sexy. Fab outfit!

A BIG thank you to Kayleigh and Victoria for taking part. These are such amazing bloggers and I feel very lucky to have them take part in Any Size. If you haven't seen their blogs before check them out now - you're missing out!!

I'm looking for some more Any Size bloggers - especially size 14/16 so if you want to get involved let me know and I'll let you know what I have free!!

Any Size: Disco Pants

Yay! It's another Any Size! Apologies for the couple weeks absence but it is now back with a bang! This week we look at how Disco Pants can be worn by any size!

I really wanted to see this one as I wanted to see if this was a trend for all, or just the skinny minnies (jealous much, yes!).

So take a peek and see how this weeks Any Size bloggers do it!

size 8: Laura from Tiny Twist
Such a gorgeous girl in such a gorgeous outfit. I love the monochrome theme, and totally in love with this blazer as well/ She has teamed it with vampy lips. Yum yum!

size 10: Ashleigh from Pretty Girl Rich
Look at those legs! I can't stop looking at them, they go on forever!! These suit her figure perfectly and she has teamed it for a night out with a fab crop top and gorge heels!

size 12: Emily from Recipes and Reviews
a reappearance from the lovely Emily! Doing casual disco pants and showing me that even I could do disco pants! I love this casual outside and the colors!

size 14: Hannah from Baileycakes
Showing no matter your size, you can still pull this trend off! Big thumbs up for this casual look. Rocking to fab trends of a denim shirt and disco pants!

A big big thanks to all the girls for this week, go check out their blogs as they are all amazing!! If you'd like to be involved in Any Size please let me know! Just give me a shout on twitter and I can get you involved!!

Any Size: Bodycon

After an Any Size break last week (was in Dublin when it's usually organised so!) Any Size is back with a bang and includes one of my all time favourite fashion bloggers this week, Amy from Little Magpie who is up for a Cosmo Blog Award (excited!).

This week is bodycon. I really wanted to do this to show people that any size really can wear bodycon, it's a style that lots of larger sizes shy away from, however if you get the right dress with the right structuring it can really work to your advantage!

size 8: Amy from Little Magpie
One of my fave ever bloggers, and she looks gorgeous here. This black bodycon shows off her tiny, curvy figure to perfection and she has styled it with rocky accessories for a toughened up look! Total girl crush alert.

size 10: me
A bodycon skirt, styled for everyday wear. Just to show really that bodycon doesn't have to just be evening wear, if you style it right!

size 12: Missy from Never a Dull Moment
A gorgeous colour against Missy's skin and the perfect dress for her figure as well. It hugs her curves in all of the right places, and is a very classy, ladylike body con while still looking sexy.

Size 14: Gem from Gem Seren Beauty
Proving you don't have to be a size six to be sexy in a bodycon! She looks incredible in this dress, it shows off all her best bits and her long gorgeous legs!

A big thanks to all my bloggers this week - loving how they've styled their bodycons for them! I'm also loving the response I'm getting from doing Any Size, have had such amazing feedback and comments and I love you guys for providing it!

Let me know if you'd like to be involved in Any Size at all, it isn't restricted to the sizes above, so whatever size you are - get in contact!!

Any Size: Stripes

We all know the myth behind stripes. Vertical stripes make you appear taller and slimmer, horizontal stripes make you look wider. I don't believe these myths in the slightest. I think it all depends on how you style it!

So take it away girls, show em how to style!

size 8: Jayne from Miss Jayne Becca
Jayne shows off her tiny frame in this cute and flattering stripy sundress. It's a casual look that she's teamed with wedges to give it a day to night feel. LOVE!

size 10: me!
You know me, I love my nautical stripes. If it's navy, i love it, if it's stripey, I love it. So the more the merrier! This dress is super flattering on my curvy shape!

Size 12: Gillian from Gillian Etc
I love this tunic dress on Gillian, it compliments her figure perfectly and it's slouchiness is perfect for anyone who isn't a size 0! The perfect stripey outfit.

Size 14: Bex from Futures
Proving the myth of horizontal stripes making you look big totally and utterly wrong! I love the combination of thin and wide stripes to give the illusion of an hour glass figure. Looks so good!

As always, my girls have done me proud! Showing you exactly how stripes, any stripes, can look amazing on all sizes!

To get involved with Any Size just give me a shout on twitter! I am in Dublin as we speak so you may not hear back for a couple days! A big thanks to the girlies above, without them this wouldn't exist!

Any Size: Pattern Trousers

Patterned trousers are a trend that I still haven't braved myself yet! So for inspiration I've asked some fab Any Size bloggers to show us how it's done!

Such gorgeous trousers, why hello lace, and she makes it look so sophisticated and work appropriate! She can get away with this gorgeous pattern on her gorgeous pins!

I love this gorgeous, brave pattern! So different to what I've seen before and she teams it perfectly with this casual jumper and gorgeous glittering accessories.

The lovely Kat looks great in these simple patterned trousers teamed with her gorgeous coral heels (stupid banner blocking them) monochrome and coral is the perfect combination and keeps it simple and chic!

Showing that everyone can make patterned trousers look gorgeous! I love this pattern on her and they are so flattering with a simple tee and a gorgeous chic bun!

I'm definitely feeling a bit more confident about trying out patterned trousers! They have definitely proved that anyone can make this trend suit them!

If you'd like to take part in Any Size, let me know and I'll be sure to pop your name down for future posts! I have some really great bloggers coming up! A big thanks to this weeks bloggers, they all look fab and I couldn't do this without them!

Yellow has been this summers shade - think it dangerous, think it crazy but it's true! The Any Size bloggers here show you how to keep it stylish for any size!

Size 8: Jess from Powder Blue
A very sophisticated look from Jess here! Love the blouse, I'm seeing birds everywhere at the moment so this is very in style! Suits her tiny frame perfectly.

Size 10: Katrina from Hellogorgeousx
A dipped hem skirt is perfect for our current weather and it shows off Katrina's perfect pins! She's funked it up with a graphic tee and gorgeous wedges!

Size 12: Sarah from Friday is Forever
The perfect coat I think! And a very secret agent pose! This shows off Sarah's curves and emphasises her lovely waist! The jeans are the perfect fit and match as well!

Size 14: Sera from The Agoraphobic Fashionista (reappearance!)
A sexy pussycat bow suits Sara perfectly! It flatters her figure completely! The mustard of her shirt brings out her gorgeous red hair and this vintage outfit suits her figure to a tee!

Some gorgeous bloggers here! I'd like to say a big thanks to Katrina as she managed to get this to me in under 12 hours as a last minute participant!! And also a big welcome back to Sera who previously featured in my first Any Size post!

Coloured jeans seem to be feared by many! In this weeks Any Size post, my fab bloggers show you how it's done!

Size 8: Kate from The Style Department
A fab red shade! A very bold and gorgeous colour, showing off her lovely pins! Teamed perfectly with a natural tee and jacket.

Size 10: Laura from Lauraxamy
Love this shade of pink of Laura teamed with this gorgeous blouse. Perfect combination for her teeny frame, can be dressed up or down!

Size 12: Me
Darker colours suit my elephant thighs better, and these 'aubergine' ones are perfect. Great for autumn, summer and teams with gold. (I know I'm usually in the 10, but these jeans are a 12 so no cheating from me!)

Size 14: Rachel from Lots: An English Girl in America
This colour looks perfect on Rachel, really flattering and teams with a patterned, neutral top is the perfect way to compliment these beauties!

As you can see, I've changed up the format of this weeks Any Size. I'm still playing with different layouts to see what works and what doesn't so feel free to throw suggestions at me! I like the pic above, I just wish I could make it a tab bigger!

Next week's Any Size will be dressing Yellow! It'll be the first one I don't feature in which is quite exciting, you won't have to see my mug! Any Size: Little Black Dress

It's hard to go wrong with a little black dress. It's a fashion old timer and compliments everyone. It's a definite staple in any wardrobe for any size.
Check out how my gorgeous bloggers have styled it!

size 8: the cutey Kirstie from Coffee & Cakes  |  size 10: me
size 12: the gorgeous Danielle from Tinks Tale  |  size 16/18: the beautiful Penelope from Penelope's Beauty Obsession

Kirstie: The gold belt and bag are both vintage and I always seem to go to them when I wear a black dress, I just feel like it adds a wee bit of something special to it.
Me: This LBD can be more smart of a little bit more 'off-duty' on a rainy day I like to team it with a coloured cardigan and some gold accessories. It comes in at the waist so helps excentuate my curves.
Danielle:The best way for me to be able to feel comfortable in a little black dress was to choose something quirky and safe! I love how the one straps wraps around the opposite shoulder, the dress also had loose layered sides, perfect to disguise my yummy mummy flabby tummy and love handles from just giving birth
Penelope: i am a size 16 in most items of clothes, for the little black dress post i used my dress from new look and a belt from forever 21, i love the detailing on the back of the dress and the belt helps to create a waist in the dress because it is quite baggy and gives it a bit more detailing to distract from my arms.

As always a big thank you to my bloggers for taking part. This series is getting such overwhelming feedback, I love that it's been so well received.
Next week is coloured jeans (yay!) and I'm in need of a size 10 with a coloured jeans fetish so get in contact! Also let me know if you want to take part in the future :) just leave a comment below and I'll pop you on my ever growing list! So exciting!
