Beauty | Discovering OGX

It's only recently that I've really gotten into hair care and different brands, but I've loved OGX for quite a while now. I love their hair products and how they make my skin feel, and compared to some higher end brands I actually find this to be much much better.

I've shared a couple of pictures lately of OGX products and I've been asked to talk about them, which I prefer and my opinion. I have not used all of their range, however the ones I have tried I've fallen head over heels for. They have a product for any hair type or problem, whether it's frizz, breakage, hydration or volume, OGX has the solution.

For me, something my hair was seriously lacking for a long time was hydration. However, I always struggled with products that helped with this as they always seemed too heavy - and for someone with hair as thick as mine, and with as much of it as me, it's not ideal to have a heavy shampoo. OGX's Nourishing Coconut Milk Shampoo & Conditioner was the first product I tried from OGX, and I loved the results. It smelt incredible, and my hair was in great condition, however it was a bit too heavy for my hair. I think it'd be great for normal hair, or if you have a lot of fine hair it would be perfect, but if you have a lot of thick hair, or little fine hair it'd be too heavy for you. On the basis of that I decided to try their Weightless Hydration Coconut Water Shampoo & Conditioner. This has been my go to hair product for months now and I've loved it. It helped to restore my hairs hydration, my dry ends weren't so prominent and it looked like it was in much better condition. It's weightless properties were perfect for my hair type, and I think if you have fine hair and don't want anything heavy this would be perfect for you.

Once my hair's condition was better, in terms of reduced dry ends and healthier locks, I wanted to try something else from the brand. When I saw they have an Anti-Breakage range I hopped right on that train. I've always found my hair comes out more than I feel it should, or breaks when I brush it. So surely this could help? I picked up both the Anti-Breakage Keratin Oil Shampoo & Conditioner, but also picked up their Anti-Breakage Keratin Oil Instant Repair Weightless Healing Oil, just as something a bit extra. The shampoo and conditioner have been a revelation, from the first time I used them my hair felt stronger and looked healthier and I loved it. It also looked shiner, and after a few more washes I found less strands coming out when brushing or washing. It's the oil I've fallen for most though. A few spritz of this on damp hair and my frizz disappears, my hair is shiner and feels so much stronger - even more so than just using the shampoo and conditioner. It's a little miracle worker for me, and it's become a must have in my routine. I've left it out a couple of times since getting it, and regretted it completely. I would definitely recommend trying their hair oils as well as their shampoos and conditioners.

I can't wait to try more products from OGX, but if you haven't yet tried the brand definitely pick up a product that will suit your hair type. I promise you won't regret it.

Which range would you pick up?

  1. I love the Argan Oil products from OGX, in the turquoise bottles. I love the sound of the Keratin ones, though - my hair sheds so badly so I definitely need to give these a try!!
