Life | I Got Married!

I'm a wife. I still can't get used to saying that phrase, as well as introducing myself with my new last name. For 18 months I planned the day, our perfect perfect day, and suddenly it was there. It came around so quickly, and now I have official wedding blues. So, to help me with this I thought I'd share with you some of my favourite photos from the big day, taken by the incredible Hana Venn.

OnOne
One thing I knew I really wanted was photos of us getting ready, and Hana absolutely nailed it. I couldn't have been happier with everyone and everything that helped us get ready in the morning. My hair was incredible and I loved my make up. I asked the amazing Natasha Wiggens to go me, and all my bridesmaids and I was so pleased with the outcome. She was so easy to get along with and I'd highly recommend. I also want to drag your attention to my incredible Tiffany earrings, my wedding present from my incredibly generous and kind new husband. All that was left to do was pop in my gorgeous hair clip, slide on my Jimmy Choos, get a spritz of Jo Malone and I was ready.

The details were always so important to me when planning, and I wanted it to be a good mix of both me and Adam. I knew navy was going to be our main colour, and accents of lace and silver. But I always wanted to incorporate butterflies, and bits of Adam as well. We chose Strawberry Fizz to do our flowers and tables for the day, and they did a fantastic job. Zoe instantly came up with the navy and lace mix that I loved, and the flowers bought it all together. I was so pleased with the overall effect. We also had a little help from our family, with my Grandma kindly making our Order of Ceremonies for us, which were stunning, and my Uncle took charge of the cake and absolutely INCREDIBLE cake topper. The cake was stunning, with gorgeous detail was created by local bakery Fondantly Yours.

Neither Adam or I are religious, so we went for a civil ceremony in our venue, Old Thorns Manor Hotel. I've only been to weddings in a church so I wasn't 100% sure what to expect but I loved it. Our registrar was relaxed, humorous and made the whole thing incredibly easy. We completely forgot everyone else was there throughout the ceremony, it was just us up there. We also had 2 beautiful readings. I would highly recommend having readings otherwise the ceremony would be quite short.

I think these photos speak for themself for how incredible a photographer Hana is. She got some incredible natural photos throughout the day, but the ones of us on the golf course are stunning. I was so happy with how the entire day went, I would redo this over and over again. Yes there were a couple of things that weren't 100% right, but on the day you just don't care. I want to say a massive thank you to our venue, all of our suppliers, and all guests on the day for making it the perfect day for us.
