Mischa Barton Lemon Zest Body Butter

I have to say I'm incredibly impressed with June's 'She Said Beauty' box. Aprils and I didn't quite get on as well as I wanted, but me and June are best buds - especially due to this product.

As seen here I gave a rave review for Mischa Barton's Luscious Lips so when I found out I would be getting another part of her cosmetics collection I was very excited. Luckily I was justified in this excitement.
I prefer body butters to lotions as I feel they do more for my skin and they just feel nicer and I have been using the Body Shop's Body Butters for years. This feels totally different and in a fantastic way.
It feels softer and absorbs into the skin a lot easier. You only need a small amount which means this product will last for a while, justifying the price for me.
Now onto the smell - oh.my.god. It's amazing. Literally amazing. I love citrus smells, but only if they are subtle and this is exactly that. I find myself smelling my arms throughout the day just to get a whiff. It doesn't last all day, around 3 hours I would say but the moisture lasts.
Arthur appears to love this product as well. After I put it on he was there trying to lick me for ages afterwards and following me around - a good sign I think!

I would definitely recommend this product. My skins feels smother, and more moisturized. I love the smell and the texture.
It is also available in Aqua Mist, Coco Cinnamon and Violet Vision. I would definitely love to try this in Coco Cinnamon, especially around Christmas time.

Overall, love this product - thanks She Said Beauty & Mischa's Place!

What scent would you like to try? Have you tried her body butters?

Inika Lip Whip

I was very excited for my May She Said Beauty Box as I LOVED the April one and I have not been disappointed.

This is the first review of one of the gorgeous products in this Month's box...

I won one of their sample foundations through a Twitter competition a little while ago (review still to come...) and was really impressed with that so I was giddy when I saw a little Inika box in my beauty box...
I was quite excited it was the Inika lip gloss in this months box and, if I'm honest, I was really hoping for it in 'Melon' or 'Berry', so when I got the 'Apricot' version I was slightly disappointed at first.
Then I put it on. Normally I do go for pinker shades as I feel these colours like 'Apricot' are too goldy and brown for me, however I feel in love with this product and the colour as soon as I put it on.

It glides on really easily, and I'm not usually a fan of the squeezy tube gloss, and it doesn't feel stupidly stick like gloss usually does. It stayed on for a good couple of hours. It really hydrated my lips and made them feel plumb. I usually have a problem with dry lips so this was perfect.

Would definitely recommend this product, I'm not sure if I would pay £14.30 for a lip gloss, but I really did love this product and if I'm honest I probably would buy it after I've finished this one.
I would definitely LOVE to try the other colours 'Berry', 'Melon' and 'Peach'.

Also, please excuse the apparently hairiness of my bottom lip - never noticed it until this picture!

Have you tried Inika before?

Bellapierre Shimmer Powder

A lovely product from the She Said Beauty April box.

This products boasts that these beautiful shimmer powders will provide long lasting, vibrant colour without any additional filler.

I used this product when I went out on Good Friday. I used it on top of my bronzer and also along the shoulder blades.
I haven't used a shimmer in forever as I was always a bit scared it'll make me look like a young girl, I also worried it'd make me look far too glittery.
However, this one really surprised me and I really liked it. It went on really easily and it didn't look ridiculously glittery. One of the things that really impressed me about it was the reaction I got from a friend when we got home at around 2am - "O you're all shimmery! I have to use that next time!"
I was still shimmery and it lasted through lots of sweaty (ick) dancing.

I would recommend this completely, the price doesn't really bother me at all either as I would only use this on special occassions so I'd imagine it'd last for ages.

Have you ever used shimmer powder?

Filthy Gorgeous Nails

A fab product from my She Said Beauty April box.

in 'Tu-Tu Much"

This is a longwearing, high shine, high pigment professional quality nail varnish. You can see from the above picture just how much shine you get off of this nail varnish.
Que "I can see my face in it" shine quotes...

I absolutely LOVE the colour. It's so loud and bright. While I'm not huge on bright lippys and bright eyes I love having bright nails. Now I have stopped biting them (trying to anyway) I love having my nails painted and looking fantastic.
I applied 3 quotes as the first 2 quotes were quite low on colour, but as will all nail varnishes you just need to add a couple more quote for enhance its colour.
Without a base quote it lasted really well and I didn't get any chips for a couple of days. It was also really easy to apply, i really liked the brush.
However, it doesn't dry as quickly as I'd like. First time I applied it I started doing stuff as I would do other nail varnishes and it came off and chipped and ended up on the inside of my cardigan sleeve... So leave it a while to dry after you've applied it.

Otherwise I absolutely loved this and think its THE perfect colour for our current weather as it can brighten up any grey outfit!

What's your favourite bright nail varnish?

Mischa Barton Luscious Lips

Here is a product I received in my She Said Beauty April box.

in 'Pink Pop'

I didn't even know Mischa Barton did lipgloss so this was a surprise to me! This is a rich hydrating lip protector with a hint of flattering colour. It protects with SPF15 and hydrates with vitamins.

I LOVE the colour of this. It looks great in the pot and also on the lips as well. It's natural enough for me as I'm not one for big bold make up and it does stay on for quite a while - even when you've had a drink and eaten its still there. Have not tried it against kissing yet though...
As for its hydrating quality, I have to say I havent noticed any different with my lips and I've been using it for a few days now - I do see it as a bit more like a lip gloss then a lip balm.
I would recommend it. I really do like the colour and I have been using it a lot - mainly everyday use and I'm not a lippy kinda person.
As for the price, if I saw it as a lip balm there is probably no chance I'd pay £8 for it, however as a lip gloss with balmy qualities I have to admit I've paid more so I have no objections to paying that for this.

What's your must have lip gloss?

She Said Beauty April

I received my first She Said Beauty box and have been trying out the products ever since!

I have never used a beauty box service before - being very new to blogging I didn't even know the service existed to be honest - but I was drawn to She Said Beauty.

They have brands that are not majorly well known, which is what I liked about it. Plus the girls on twitter are very friendly !!
I signed up for a three month subscription so for the next three months you'll get reviews from products in these boxes from me spread over the month... I think it's such a fantastic tool to help newbie bloggers like myself as it gives you fab samples to review... I would recommend beauty boxes to any newbie blogger!
