ColourPop x KathleenLights Zodiac Collection

For the longest time I've wanted to try products from ColourPop. I always see American/Canadian bloggers raving about the brand and their products, but I've always gotten a bit overwhelmed by how much I want to order from them. So when Kathleen Lights bought out a collab with them all around the Zodiac, I knew this was the perfect opportunity to finally place an order.

My Top 3: Glossier Make Up

Have you heard of Glossier? No? Have you been living under a rock? Glossier is quite possibly one of the most hyped up brands I've come across since I started blogging, and honestly I was pulled into the hype. So much so that I have actually tried almost every single product from their make up range. I'm sorry bank balance, I truly am. But - is the hype justified?

Beginner's Guide: Choosing a Drugstore Highlight

I'll admit it, I've been a blogger for over five years now and I've only recently jumped onto the highlighter bandwagon. I've had one from Mac for a little while now, which I adore, but I figured it was time to really try some good alternatives out and get to know this trend like the back of my hand. And share my findings with all of you...

Beauty | Getting the Winter Glow

I really do love the festive season, everything is so sparkly and everything glows. So why should you make up be any different? Don't worry, I'm not asking you to glitterfy your face, but using a good highlighter to help make you cheeks glow and healthy looking is the perfect addition to your festive face this season.

Make Up | Mac Adored

First of all let's just take a second to swoon over how pretty this is. Swooooon. Probably the main reason I got it as I'm still not really sure what it is meant to be. Blusher, powder, highlighter? Who knows... What I do know is what I use it for and I love it for that.
It's described by Mac as a velvet soft powder, ideal for highlighting. Which luckily is exactly what I've been using it as. I pop this on with my buffing brush lightly on my face as a powder, so it's not too shimmery, and then with a blush brush on the apples of my cheeks for more of a highlight on top of my blush. It's really buildable so you can see the difference and it's also such a pretty colour.

Adored is described as a coral with a light pearl beige running through it - which you can see. To be honest I don't see a lot of colour on my face apart from the shimmery pearl, which I do love, so if you want this as a blusher you need to look elsewhere - you won't get a colour pay off here.

For £22 it's not too bad. To be honest you expect to pay a bit more for Mac more for the brand then the product. What I will say is I have little confidence in the packaging - I've only had it a couple of weeks and already it's threatening to come out of the pan and the lid is looking a touch flimsy. Otherwise it is a truly gorgeous product.

What's your prettiest product in the pan?

Glow by Topshop

Topshop Glow Highlighter in Polish £9

I'm not usually a highlighter person, but I have loved all other Topshop make up so I thought I'd give the Topshop highlighter a go. I have been using this in a couple of different ways, under my foundation and over my blusher. I personally prefer it over my blusher along my cheek bones.

It's really easy to apply, it's a creamy highlighter that absorbs quickly and enough to seem natural and subtle. It's really is a nice "glow" as the name suggests and not too much of a shimmer - which I always worry about with highlighters - I'm not a big shimmer/glitter on face fan!

I think this is definitely more of a summer product as I tend to stick with colour during the winter, but it's perfect for defining eyebrows still if you use with a small stiff brush and blend in properly. Overall it is a really lovely product. I'm not usually a fan of cream highlighters/blushers etc but this is a good exception!

What highlighters do you recommend?
