I'm so lazy when it comes to skincare, really it's scary. However micellar waters have made it so much easier to remove make up and this has made a real difference. I reviewed the Garnier offering here and fell in love with it - I even prefer it to my Bioderma. I use this every single evening to remove all traces of make up, including eye make up. It's really gentle on the skin but tough on make up. I use it every morning as well just to get rid of any excess dirt from that evenings sleep. Although it's great I always found it left a little to be desired when removing eye make up. It was always a struggle, better than most, but still not exactly right.

Most eye make up removers I shy away from - especially those with an oil and water that you mix together - as it just leaves my eye area feeling greasy and disgusting. However, I decided to give the little Garnier version a whirl. It's a little bottle of goodness. It's really really gentle on the eye area but gets rid of make up very easily. Not only that but there is no grease or oil left around the area. My skin is left feeling clean and soft. 

These two together make the perfect make up removal team - they were made to work together and I love this team. Why would I want to pick anything else?

I am a big lover of Bioderma and their products have been raved about and highly anticipated to be launched in the UK. It has now been launched, but while I was waiting I was on a hunt for a micellar water that was more readily available.

This is described as a "super water"; it cleanses, removing impurities and make up, tones by restoring the pH balance in the skin and refreshes with cucumber extract. I use this in the evening to remove my make up, the idea being that it breaks the make up down as opposed to just wiping it off.

I've found that this solution is great at removing my make up quickly and easily, you just need to saturate a large cotton pad and wipe your face. It doesn't tend to dry out my skin and it leaves it looking fresh and I feel refreshed. It's a very nice product at an incredibly reasonable price.

Compared to Bioderma, I still think Bioderma is the better product in terms of make up removal, but B.Pure is still a really great product and I definitely wanna try some more of their products.

Lazy Girl Guide to Skincare

I'm ridiculously lazy when it comes to skin care. My philosophy tends to be the less time the products take me, the happier they make me. So, this is my skincare regime at the moment - or as I'm putting it, my lazy girl's guide.

Morning
So, my alarm goes off, I hit snooze, it goes off again, snooze - this goes on for a while until I drag myself out of bed and grimace at my face in the mirror. O joy! The first thing I do is use my Natio Gentle Cleansing Wipes* to give my fave a quick refresh and cleanse. It's full of natural products such as green tea and chamomile and it just helps to get rid of whatever make up residue may be left from the day before.
Next comes my La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo - I know, it's not on the picture (I left it at the boys like an idiot) but this has become a real staple is spot busting for me. I pop it on everyday in the morning and it works at cleaning my pores as well as minimising the blemishes I do have. Not only that but it works as a fab make up base. Then I moisturise with my Fade Out White Original Moisturising Cream* to replace all moisture that my Effaclar Duo has taken out and to brighten up my face, ready for the war paint.

Evening
Here comes the laborious task of taking my make up off. I hate doing it and it always makes me a bit sad. The best make up remover I have found has to be Bioderma Crealine H20, it's a micellar(?) cleaner, so water based, great for your skin and a genius at removing make up. I use this with a huge baby cotton pad so not to waste pads - one will do my entire face. If I need an extra dose for eye make up I use the usual round pads.
Then comes the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish, just to double cleanse and remove all horrible grit and dirt. I don't double cleanse every night, mainly every other otherwise I feel it's a bit harsh on my skin so I try to keep it to a minimum. Again, an all natural cleanser and probably the most hyped in blogger world. Then lastly I pop some more of my Fade Out White Original Moisturising Cream to pop some much needed moisture back into my face. Poor face!

So that is my routine, it's not a huge one and it's definitely not a religious one - hence the lazy girls guide! This tends to be working really well for my skin at the moment. The Natio Cleansing Wipes* are a new addition that have restored my faith in face wipes. They are really gentle and really fab at cleaning your skin and keeping it nice and refreshed. I would definitely recommend them.

I do use other bits and bobs every now and then, for example every two weeks I use Origins Out of Trouble Mask and the weeks I don't use that I use an exfoliator, such as The Body Shops Vitamin C Microdermabrasion. Just for those times my skin needs an extra bit of help.

Panda Eyes

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to find me the perfect eye make up remover: Do you accept?

It appears I have a problem. I have four, highly recommended, removers and none of them float my boat. It's become an obsession to find the perfect one!

Nivea Visage Extra Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover
This is a nice product, don't get me wrong. It doesn't feel oily (which is good) and it doesn't bring me out in spots. However, it's not kidding when it says "extra gentle". It's so gentle, it doesn't actually really do much.

No7 Beautiful Skin Eye Make-Up Remover
This came very highly recommended so I had really high expectations! Now, it does remove make up, however it is so oily that it smudges more then removes, also it is ridiculously oily. Like breakout skin oily, not impressed.

Botanics Soothing Eye Make Up Remover 
This is the one I'm still using. It is oily, but not as much so as the No7 remover and it removes more than smudges. However, it is still quite oily and still causes breakouts. It says it's suitable for all skin types, it is unfortunately not.

Simple Kind to Eyes Nourishing Eye Make-Up Remover Cream
I thought I'd try a cream as I haven't yet. Unfortunately no luck. It's lovely and moisturizing, but in terms of removing eye make up no luck unfortunately.

It seems to me that an oily remover works best on removing make up, which is fine but I need one that doesn't make me break out or look like a panda. I have recently ordered a Body Shop version, so I'm hoping this will be a bit better, but still - recommendations please!

No7 Eye Make-Up Remover

Boots keep giving me No7 vouchers, so I have of course been utilising these vouchers! My first I spent very wisely and bought myself their Eye Make Up Remover which comes highly recommended by a number of bloggers so thought I'd give it a whirl!

I was very intrigued to try this as I've used eye make up removers before, usually the wipes, and they have been pretty average - nothing special. So I really wanted this to be fantastic.

It has a dual action formula which helps to condition the skin as well as cleanse and removing all eye make up including waterproof mascara. You have to give it a good shake before you use it.

Pop it on a cotton pad and remove eye make up as you would anything else. 

I'm just going to go ahead and say I was a little bit disappointed by this product after all of its stellar reviews. 

It's quite hard to mix, you have to really shake it up and there have been a few instances when I've put it on the pad and some of the liquid is clean and some is blue.
It is very easy to use however. It does get rid of everything which is exactly what you want and you can use it on a cotton bud as well to get rid of those tricky areas. If it hasn't mixed properly it doesn't work as well as it should, which I have to say is probably about 50% of the time, when it is mixed properly though it's great.
It is also incredibly oily - this probably helps get rid of make up - however I have to use my cleanser after this to make sure all oil is gone. This does put me off a little bit I have to say, I have quite oily skin anyway so this doesn't really help.

It is better then any of the wipes I used to use so it is the best eye make up removed I have tried, and for only £2.75 with the voucher I can't complain too much. I am also still using it so I don't hate it! Like I said, it does work and it came in very handy when I poken myself in the eye with my mascara and had black everywhere... it took that off very easily and quickly! But it's just not as amazing as I hoped... Sorry!

I am still looking for my perfect eye make up remover, this hasn't filled that void for me I'm afraid! Like I said, it does work and it does get rid of everything, but the oil just really puts me off and its inability to mix half the time is just not worth its usual price for me.
