Sunny Denim

tshirt TOPSHOP

wedges RIVER ISLAND
bracelet LOLA ROSE

puppy ARTHUR

We had quite a sunny warm day on Sunday (yay) so I decided I'd brave it and pop on a skirt. I got this skirt last summer as an impulsive buy as it's totally different to anything I had before and I was starting to get very interested in high waist. I love this skirt, it nips in at my waist and I believe it makes any outfit look effortlessly chic. Well, chic for me - I'm not going to sit here and pretend to be a fashion guru.
This tshirt is a favourite of mine as well, I usually wear it with shorts in the summer or over a bikini on the beach. It's really light and so easy to wear. Definitely a go to t-shirt when I can't be bothered to make too much effort.

I think this outfit is just really simple and light for a June day playing with the puppy. I also think it has a touch of rock n roll with the t-shirt. Had a great day on Sunday, Dad was at the MotoGP so the boy came over and we played with the puppy. Took him for a walk and also had a slight water fight, which Arthur got in the middle of trying to protect me from a scary watering can of course. Good puppy !

How was your Fathers Day?

No7 Natural Blush

No7 Natural Blush Cheek Colour in Soft Damson

I'm going to be the first to admit that blusher has never really been my thing, I'm more of a bronzer girl. However, after needing to use another No7 voucher I thought I'd take risk and nab myself a blush. I'm so glad I did. Soft Damson is the perfect colour for me, especially after I've already applied my bronzer. It isn't too pink so that it's ridiculous, but it's a nice warm pink that really compliments my natural colour.
It lasts for a good few hours, which we all want so overall I'm really pleased with the product. It's really easy to apply and it isn't too powdering (thank god!) and it's just a really nice consistency. Coverage is nice and even, just can't say a bad word about it really.

It's £9.50, I got it for £4.50 with my £5 voucher, and I would quite happily pay £9.50 for it when I need some more.

Are you a blusher or bronzer girl? Which ones do you love?

Summer Paisley

You know those dresses that you try on just to keep a friend company in the changing rooms and don't expect to love it? Well this is one of those dresses. I have this thing where I try something n in the changing room, hoping it to be horrible as I shouldn't really buy it, and then all anyone can here is me going "o crap..." because I love it. This was one of those 'o crap' moments.

bangles ACCESSORIZE

Now, I was a good girl and I didn't buy this dress straight away, I bought my lovely cream dress (here) instead as I thought it was more practical. But it was one of those items you just can't stop thinking about and it just keeps niggling away at your brain going "you know you need me... you know you want me...".
Then I saw another blogger wearing it and I just thought "o screw it" and accidentely ordered it online. Opps.
I just love the colours in this dress, they are so bright and I love the pattern. I think it's very unlike anything else I have as well which makes a nice change for me! Am beginning to expand my horizons a bit which is good...! They have another dress with the same print that is currently in the H&M sale at the moment (here) as well which I'm so tempted to buy, but I think two dresses in the same pattern is slightly excessive... Even for me! The belt comes with the dress as well so definite value for money I think!

The bangles I have actually had forever, I only remember they came from Accessorize because the blocky one was my first EVER buy from there - see, told you I had them forever!
This necklace is a newbie for me. It's from raspberrygrape (think I may be getting slightly addicted to this site) and is a lovely rusty colour. If I'm honest I bought it thinking it would be a long necklace, however I love that it's a short one. I always wear my Tiffany's butterfly (I'm sure you've noticed) so it was a nice change to swap it for something with a bit of colour.

I think this look is going to become a bit of a staple for me for work over the summer (if we ever get one) as it's really light to wear and it's long enough to get away with wearing without tights for work as well.

What's been your latest 'o crap' moment? Do you have a work wardrobe staple yet?

P.S - I have been nominate for a blog award over at BlogCat, would love if you'd go vote for me :) just click here - thank you!

My Favourite Scents

This post is a little bit something different for me but I thought it could be fun and quite interesting as well, potentially.
So I thought I would share my collection of perfume with you. I'm not one of those girls that wears perfume everyday, but for special occasions or if I just feel like I need to feel good for that day I give myself a spritz of whichever perfume fits my mood.

These are the 5 main perfumes that I use, I do have a couple different ones but I don't really use them so thought there was no point including them.

NYC by Sarah Jessica Parker
I first discovered this fragrance when Mum bought me a mini travel version for a holiday to Egypt for convenience sake, and I have always liked her Lovely fragrance (see below). Totally love this fragrance. It's so summery and fruity. I was usually quite a florally, sweet girl before this but I just love the fruity tones in this. Would definitely recommend it for a holiday scent. I also love the bottle, it's so colourful and mismatch. It's very attractive and again, summery.

Jennifer Aniston Exclusive Fragrance for Harrods, by Jennifer Aniston
Now, I probably love this perfume for the wrong reason. My reasons being that I'm somewhat obsessed with Jennifer Aniston, so when I heard she bought out a fragrance just before my 21st birthday it went straight on my list. It's a very classic fragrance with crisp tones and a definite floral edge. I wear this for my most formal of occasions, just because it is a very special perfume and I really don't want to waste it.

Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker
This is probably my very first regular perfume (if that makes sense). It's a very girly scent with sweet floral tones, but not overpowering at all. It is very sweet. I love the bottle as well, it's just so simple and the lid is very elegant, yet cute. Was the perfect first proper fragrance. Have outgrown it slightly now but still use it on the odd occassion.

Miss Dior Cherie, by Dior
This is my newest and probably my favourite of all my perfumes. It is very similar to 'Lovely' but more grown up. It's not as sweet, yet still has subtle floral tones. It's incredibly light and very refreshing. It can be worn in all seasons and can be both a casual scent, and a formal one. I probably wear this whenever I need to feel that little bit special or if I just want to. Plus, it's the boys favourite.

Lola by Marc Jacobs
This is probably my favourite bottle. It's just so girly and cool - it'd be hard not to love this bottle. As you can see, I accidently left it in a bad on a sleepover and a pen exploded in bag and coated some of the bottle. Bummer. This perfume is incredibly floral, but not a really as sweet as other floral scents, it has more of a sharp scent to it.

So these are my perfumes, my favourites.

Do you use any of these? What's your favourite perfume?

Little Black Skirt

This is a somewhat mini outfit post for from me :)
I went out to Tiger Tiger in Portsmouth with some friends on Jubilee Monday to celebrate my friends finishing university.. Doesn't seem quite real that I was in the same position a year ago eek! Making me feel slightly old I have to say...

Anywho!

Little bit of a New Look post I have just realised! My go-to outfit for going out clubbing nearly always involves my black structured skirt. It's ridiculously flattering, hold everything in where it should be and it just effortlessly stylish.
This time I styled it with this gorgeous floral blouse from New Look as seen on Mollie King from The Saturdays on DayBreak a couple weeks back. I just fell in love with that and the colours on it.

Here are some other ways I've styled my trusty black skirt...

1. out for friends birthday. French Connection Vest (with Beth)
2. out for colleaugues leaving do. Topshop Vest (with Becca) - this is prob one of my faves.
3. Outfit above
4. Girly night out with a Miss Selfridge top (with Amber)
5. Out for Matt's birthday in a Topshop tshirt (with Andra)
6. Out celebrating the end of uni in Topshop vest (another fave!) with Andra

I would like to apologise for some of them as I was slightly (cough) tipsy, especially the last one but I just love that pic as I look like a skinny minny! I should also apologise to Andra for sticking a drunk one of her up as well - sorry!
As you can see, definitely a go to clubbing outfit...

What would you team your black skirt with?
