Make Up | Stila Convertible Color

I've seen these around and about on blogs, here and there, and it's not really been something I've felt compelled to buy - maybe because it's not a lipstick who knows. But anyway, I was in a Boots and saw a Stila counter and thought I'd give it a play. I swatched Lillium and fell n love immediately. Described as a "rose pinky peach" it is exactly that.

As with my other cream blushes, I used my finger to apply and I have to say it's not as easy to blend into the cheeks as other cream blushes I've tried, it feels a bit stiff when it comes to blending - it needs warmed up a bit first. Once applied it leaves a lovely natural dewy finish that lasts for a good few hours. I would buy another shade, but I think considering how hard it is to blend it's quite a pricey product. If I could find an easy way to apply this it would be a fab product.

I love the packaging, I think it's so incredibly cute and I really like the cardboard casing - as did Arthur...

He decided he was incredibly curious during photo taking session!

Have you tried Stila's convertible colors? What's your favourite shade?

Merry Christmas!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
I hope you all had a great day/days depending on how long your celebration lasted for (or when you went back to work...)

I had a very relaxed day at home with the family plus other halves of brothers and mine! I got lots of lovely presents - unfortunately no house or car in sight - but I can't complain too much. Many Pandora charms, a Lola Rose scarf, DVD's, Tiffany Necklace and Wolf Hat later I am a very spoilt girl.

As you can see Arthur and Rupert didn't go without either - although neither were particularly happy about their pressies! Much wine was consumers (I think Mum, Hanah and I went through 2 bubbly roses and a prosecco), as well as champagne and bucks fizz earlier in the day. All in all a good day - shame I was back at work on Boxing Day (boo!)

I hope you had a great day as well and got lots of lovely pressies.... And I hope you have a fantastic New Year as well!

Arthur's Antics #3 : Puppy Love

This weekend Arthur had a big day. It was the day he finally met his one true love, Daisy.
Daisy is a very beautiful Cockapoo lady owned by my equally beautiful friend Andra and is the doggy that made us want a Cockapoo...
I documented the event and have popped all the piccies below :)

Wanting to meet.... Waiting for the day they could finally be together...

They ran together, they played together

They sniffed around together and gazed lovingly at each other

There were kisses, and sharing of the water bowl

Sitting together, posing together

Most kisses and Arthur gazing lovingly at his love...

All in all - it's puppy love!

We had quite a sunny warm day on Sunday (yay) so I decided I'd brave it and pop on a skirt. I got this skirt last summer as an impulsive buy as it's totally different to anything I had before and I was starting to get very interested in high waist. I love this skirt, it nips in at my waist and I believe it makes any outfit look effortlessly chic. Well, chic for me - I'm not going to sit here and pretend to be a fashion guru.
This tshirt is a favourite of mine as well, I usually wear it with shorts in the summer or over a bikini on the beach. It's really light and so easy to wear. Definitely a go to t-shirt when I can't be bothered to make too much effort.

I think this outfit is just really simple and light for a June day playing with the puppy. I also think it has a touch of rock n roll with the t-shirt. Had a great day on Sunday, Dad was at the MotoGP so the boy came over and we played with the puppy. Took him for a walk and also had a slight water fight, which Arthur got in the middle of trying to protect me from a scary watering can of course. Good puppy !

How was your Fathers Day?

Arthur's Antics #2

So Arthur has had a bit of manic week... and by manic I mean he has started to be disciplined! He is a bit bitey... Well, I say a bit - he is very bitey. Playing isn't playing unless it involves human flesh so we've started to try and stop this...

Mum ended up buying "7 Steps to the Perfect Puppy" which we are trying to implement - would be useful is Arthur could read it as well but there you go. I came home Friday to Mum telling me not to pick him up if he jumps up, and when I do pick him up if he bites to put his straight back down - so I did all this and he threw a major puppy strop. Opps.

Also this week, my older brother has finally met Arthur :) he lives in Cardiff with his border collie Willow who featured in last weeks AA and is gorgeous. It was great to have him finally meet Si! And they got on like a house of fire... Think puppy misses him already bless.

So here is a small account of what he did this week...

1. being pulled along by the boy with back legs spread 2. this kitchen floor is very cool 3. trapped between the boys legs
4. mischief in the garden 5. we do wonder if he can actually see with his curly locks 6. legs spread
7. eating present from the boys parents 8. i found a big stick 9. floozy showing off his belly

He also had a bath this week which I didn't manage to get a good picture of - there was a lot of whimpering and then went a little bit mad and made a "dirty protest" on the kitchen floor afterwards... Not a happy pup!

So that's Arthur for this week :) we should be taking him on his first walk within the next couple of weeks eek! Very exciting and scary at the same time! Stay tuned :)

Love Lisa & Arthur

Clynol Grip Spray

Immediate PR are running a 'hair-raising' competition with Clynol for bloggers to produce funky hair styles with Clynol's Grip Spray for tickets to Thorpe Park.
I am one of the lucky ones that was given the opportunity to take part so here is my entry...

So this is quite a different look for me... Those who know me know that I
a) hate having my hair up, and
b) hate having hair out of my face as I think I look like a round squishy ball

However, I am loving this - it's quite rock and roll. My friend Amber did it for me using Clynol and we have both fallen in love with it.
First she backcombed the top of my hair to give it some UMPH, all the time spray my hair with Clynol, which I must say smells SO good - Amber put it like this "I prefer the smell of the spray I use as the one I use smells like old grannies"...
She then left a section of my hair at the front down, and then pulled the rest into a high pony. Then pulled my front section into a quiff with a bit of a twist. Then spray spray spray.

We have both fallen in love with this product. It's not sticky, it smells amazing, it doesn't dry like straw and it is so easy to comb through and out as well. It holds really well, which I need for my hair. Would definitely recommend this product.

*update* You can buy Clynol Products from http://www.hairsupermarket.com/ :)
Now is the important part of the review... What did Arthur think?
Well, it got his seal of approval :)

Jubilee Outfit

I thought I should do something somewhat patriotic so I've done a little jubilee outfit post!
Now, I'm probably going to go against everyone here and say I'm just not that bothered about the Jubilee (I'm sorry please don't shoot me!)... I'm incredibly excited about the Olympics but not so much the Jubilee.. However I thought I'd get into the spirit and do this post!

I usually get the boy to take my photos for me, however I nabbed my friend Amber this time and I love the photos, bit more natural then my usual stand and pose! Arthur joined in on the action as well, as you can see!

puppy ARTHUR :)

This is a very casual jubilee outfit as I wasn't really doing much this day. I love popping these three colours together, I think it is really striking and very patriotic at the moment!

I have this skirt in about 5 different colours, they are so useful and can either be dressed up or down ridiculously easily.
O, and yes that is reindeer on my cardigan pocket - who says Christmas cardi's and jumpers are only for December?

I hope you all had a fantastic long bank holiday weekend :) I had a lovely one which involved family, drink, cinema, drink, wii, drink, pub, drink, aquarium, drink, clubbing, drink and bowling! (no more drink...)

What was your jubilee outfit?

Arthurs Antics #1

As everyone already knows, I have recently got a puppy :) well, my family has recently got a puppy.
Everyone has shown him SO much love and keeps asking about him so I thought I'd start a weekly post about what Arthur has been getting up to in the past week...

So here is the birth of:

So called because he is the naughtiest puppy in the world - that gets away with everything because he is gorgeous.

Here is just a lil background on Arthur and how we came to have him...

Until Christmas Eve my family had the BEST dog ever to exist, Annie, a lovely Golden Retriever. She was unforunately put down at the impressive age of 14 on Christmas Eve. Was basically heartbreaking and a horrible horrible time for my family. It is still hard and we all still really miss her.

We had always said that we would never have another dog after her as we'd never get so lucky, however after about a month we realised we really missed having a dog so decided we'd look into getting another.

My lovely friend Andra has a Cockapoo (same breed as Arthur) called Daisy who is gorgeous - she is a lovely apricot colour and is just lovely. I asked Andra to bring her round one day and my Dad basically fell in love with her nature and how she looked - so we investigated Cockapoos...

And voila - here comes Arthur :) we decided on a boy and having a chocolate puppy as we needed something that was the complete opposite to Annie.

He is now just over 10 weeks, and we've had him for over 3 of those weeks now. His favourite games include savage the humans, eat Will's old manky trainers and chase and chew Lisa's PJ ties...

He is gorgeous and loves nothing better then to curl up in your lap and savage something... He loves playing with the hoover, but is scared of the watering can... Go figure.

Here is some of the images of Arthur's life with us since we first met...

1. our first cuddle 2. his first day with us 3. liking the cat tunnel
4. love my cow toy 5. loving his new home 6. mummy's show is yummy
7. meeting his 'niece' Willow 8. too hot for puppy and his round belly 9. loving his new stick

I will have more news with Arthur every week so stay tuned! He will also show on some other posts giving his little views on products!
He should hopefully soon be meeting Daisy, who is his bethrothed, and will be going out on his first walk in a couple of weeks eek!

What do you think of Arthur? What antics would you like to see him get up to?

Herbalife NouriFusion Multi Vitamin Cleanser

As recently posted here I have fallen for Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish, but when I was give the opportunity to try something else I thought why not!

I was sent the normal to oily version of this product, which is perfect for me as I can get quite oily skin. This one is a foaming gel contains tea tree and eucalyptus oil. There is a normal to dry version as well which is more of a cleansing lotion and contains olive oil, sweet almond and jojoba.

This has a gel-like consistency, which is clear, and you put onto your skin, like you would any cleanser and rub in - this is where it turns more into its foam.
It has a really clean smell, very fresh which is really nice and really goes with the natural elements to the product.

You then remove the cleanser as usual. It removed all my make up, not so much my eye make up but if I'm honest I'm very wary about putting cleansers over my eyes.

I think this was a little bit harsh for my skin, just because it seemed to dry it out, but then the normal to dry might be a little less harsh for me.

It is a really nice product... If you are interested in organic, all natural products I would recommend looking into the brand.

And I think Arthur likes the packaging...
Don't worry.... No products were tested on Arthur!

Have you tried Herbalife yet?

The Perfect Accessory

You may have seen my very first Wednesday Wishlist (here) featured items from Vero Moda that I was coveting.. When I then went to buy a few of their products next pay day I was devastated to find most were now sold out - except this little beauty :)

top TOPSHOP
skirt VERO MODA
shoes NEW LOOK
necklace LOLA ROSE

I love this skirt, it has a really subtle waterfall effect (so subtle you can't really see it in these photos) but it is there I promise! It's really flattering and I love high waist bottoms as they nip in at my waist and make me look like I have slim one.
This is probably my favourite top. I LOVE the colour and the pattern and just the general style of it. It's so flattering and can either be dressed up for a night out or down with some jeans.
These are my goooorgeous new New Look boots. I have been after some lace up boots like this forever and I originally wanted these for work - but as you can see they are incredibly high and I can't quite see myself walking to work in these... can you say broken ankle and blistered balls of feet?
My chosen necklace? You guessed it.. Lola Rose. I'm a navy lover and this was my first Lola Rose necklace and one of my faves :)

Now... I would like to introduce: the PERFECT accessory...

Everyone meet my GORGEOUS 8 week old cockapoo puppy, Arthur :) he is adorable and very naughty but I still love him so :)

I dare you to find a better accessory....
