The Review | Maybelline The Nudes Palette

I do love me a nude palette, and when I see high street ones I get a little bit too excited. I was a bit disappointed by the L'Oreal La Palette Nude (which is why you haven't see it on here...) However I was quite excited by the Maybelline offering, thanks to the amazing quality of their cream eyeshadows. The main questions was whether or not they could bring the quality from those little pots, into a beautiful nude palette.

Also just want to point out, I made a GIF guys - a GIF! I feel so bloggery right now. Love it. Moving on.... So the Maybelline The Nudes is basically exactly what it says on the tin, a nude palette. However - it does have a couple of surprises in there which I LOVE. Yes, it's a bit dirty in the photos - I committed blogger sin and used it before I took photos. Whoops. Moving on... You get twelve nude shades, but apparently you get 13 looks in the one palette.

How? Well there is a little diagram on the back of the case which shows you. Basically the palette can we split into three quads, four trios, or six duos, depending what you want to do with your look. Or you can just use it however the hell you want and have a massive play. Like me, I did begin with the "instructions", but to be honest I just did whatever I wanted after the first couple times. Which involves the beautiful gold, third in from the bottom. This has been on my lids religiously since the sun came out and I adore it. It just looks so pretty and isn't overpowering at all. I love most of the shades to be honest but this gold makes the palette for me.

In terms of quality, the shadows are buttery soft, very easy to apply and blend and have the same staying power as the Maybelline Colour Tattoos. This is probably the best nude palette from the lower end of the scale I've ever used. I'm head over heels for it - hence why it was in my June Favourites if you saw that - and I highly recommend picking this up if you're in Boots/Superdrug any time soon. For just £9.99 you can't really go wrong... Can Maybelline do no wrong at the moment?!
