The Review | The Perfect Range for Oily Skin

Oily skin is something I've always struggled with, especially when it starts getting warmer and well, just sweatier. Those date nights when you want to look amazing? Yeah, forget that - hello oily/skinny mess! However, I've been using a skincare range lately that I've been loving in this heat lately. And guess what, it's ever so affordable...

The Body Shop has a few different skin care ranges that are catered for pretty much every skin type you can think of. I do love the tea tree range, however for everyday oily issues I'm continually turning to their seaweed range. Granted, I don't have ALL of the products from the range, but the three above have become a constant in my routine.

The Body Shop Seaweed Pore Perfector is more of a treatment and is to be used after cleansing, but before moisturising. It helps to control excess oil and reduce the appearance of pores. Large pores aren't too much of a problem for me, however since using this treatment I have found that it really has helped in daily maintence of oil and keeping it away.

My favourite from the range is definitely The Body Shop Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream. Before this I hadn't used a day cream in forever - however when it gets warmer I do need extra moisture and this is perfect. It's a light weight gel type cream that sinks into the skin nicely, isn't sticky and instantly mattifies the skin, making it easier to apply any make over the top that isn't going to slide away.

Lastly we have The Body Shop Seaweed Ionic Clay Mask, something I've been using every week for most of this year and honestly, I would be lost without it right now. It's an intensive mask that gets rid of all the excess oil but also cleanses the oil of any "crap" as well. It's a fantastic mask for oily skin.

So why seaweed? It helps to restore natural balance to the skin and also controls excess oil, helping to give you a natural matte, oil free look. I love natural ingredients, and although I was a bit dubious that seaweed would do the trick, but I love it and I will definitely be picking up more of the range.

  1. I love this range! The night treatment gel is really lovely too, it's a beautiful light texture but still hydrating :)
