Blogmas | At Home Christmas Drinks

I absolutely love this time of year with all of the Christmas themed drinks that come out. However, buying them over and over again can get a little pricey! So while I was at home I had a play around and came up with some flavoured hot chocolate drinks that were super easy to put together.
I stuck to hot chocolates as I don't have anything fancy like a milk foamer, and I'm not a huge fan of milky coffees. Plus, I'm super lazy - so for me these are three really quick and easy things to throw together. So if you're like me - these are super lazy at home Christmas drinks.

SALTED CARAMEL HOT CHOCOLATE
As I'm super lazy, two of these drinks start with instant hot chocolate. Yup - I'm that lazy. But this is super easy to make, and really tasty. First of all take three heaped teaspoons of instant hot chocolate, and a large teaspoon of salted caramel. I got a ready made jar of this from Sainsbury's. Pour in enough boiled water just to cover the powdered chocolate and caramel and mix into something like a paste. Once done, pour in the rest of your water and mix until it's all combined. Drizzle caramel over the top and dust with salt.

CINNAMON HOT CHOCOLATE
For me, cinnamon is Christmas. Just the smell is addictive. So putting it into a hot chocolate just seems natural. So, start with two and a half teaspoons of instant hot chocolate, and one teaspoon of ground cinnamon. Pour over your boiled water and mix until everything is combined. You can then add more cinnamon should you wish to spice it up a little more. Pour mini marshmallows on the top, and sprinkle with some cinnamon. Voila!

TERRYS CHOCOLATE ORANGE HOT CHOCOLATE
This one takes a little more work, but not too much. Plus, it's so so tasty. First of all take some milk and pour into a pan, heat this gentle and keep stirring until it's heated through. Be careful not to burn the milk. Then break up some of your Terry's Chocolate Orange segments, and put as many as you like into the milk and stir until it's all melted through. Once it's flavoured how you like, and it's all hot, pour into a mug. Now I like to top it off with some mini marshmallows again, and grate a little chocolate orange segment on top. As I said, takes a little longer but is absolutely amazing.

Let me know if you try any of these - I'd love to see the pictures! But hopefully you love these as much as I do.
