The Video | Work Clothing Haul and Extras...

Over the past week or so I've managed to acquire some new bits and pieces through shopping - strange that?! Anywho, a lot of it is mostly to wear for work so I decided to call it a work haul... with a few extras! If you pop through to the video you can see all the links for everything I purchased and I will love it if you could subscribe. Click here to view and lemme know if there are any videos you'd like to see me do! Enjoy!

Little Sailor Dress

dress: dorothy perkins (sale)  |  wedges: river island  |  belt: H&M  |  necklace: can't remember!  |  bangles: accessorize  |  earrings: Superdrug

This is my cute little sailor dress from the Dorothy Perkins sale. I went in a couple of Saturdays ago, saw it and thought nah, I don't need it. Then I went in again on Tuesday to buy it and it had gone from to £10!! So bargain! So happy I didn't purchase last Saturday.

Everyone who knows me knows this is my kind dress. Navy, tick! Clinched in waist, tick! It's just a me dress from top to toe. With a teeny difference, the cute little collar. I'm not usually a collar person, but this is adorable. It's so subtle as it's the same print as the dress but just adds that little something extra to the dress. I popped a cute little butterfly necklace underneath the colour to break the pattern up slightly. So sorry but I can't remember where the necklace is from - it's yonks old!

As you can see as well, we have recently bought a paddling pool for Arthur. Unfortunately he is a tad scared of it. I am working on that through methods such as holding him in and splashing, throwing water at him, throwing all his toys in there - which was quite funny as he got very stroppy as he wouldn't go in and get them! Tad mean maybe, but we're getting there! He will actually walk through it now!
I'm more than happy with this paddling pool, especially with the weather we were having last week - so refreshing and a bit of fun! I do look a bit too happy standing in there - CHEESE!

I think I need to find a new photographer. The boy seems to be getting a bit fed up and not as enthusiastic about it as he used to be. Which is sad ... This is where I wish I had a tripod, a remote and an SLR. One day!

Have you got any bargains from the sales yet? Anyone know of any cheap SLR's being sold?

Wedding Butterflies

dress: dorothy perkins  |  cardigan: french connection  |  shoes: new look  |  bracelets: lola rose, links of london, pia  |    necklace: lola rose

One of my cousins recently got married, the first of all of I might add! It was a really really lovely day. They church was so pretty, and although I personally won't be getting married in a church (nothing wrong with it, just not for me), it was a gorgeous church and a lovely ceremony. The reception was help in a marquee with draped ceilings and chandeliers, which I loved. I don't get to see my cousins a lot so it was really nice to see them, catch up and spend the day with family!

This was my wedding outfit. I first heard about this dress from my friend Amber who said "Oh my god, I saw this gorgeous maxi dress in a magazine and it has your name on it, it's blue with butterflies!", so I went on a hunt because let's face it - blue and butterflies is o so me. I found it on the Dorothy Perkins site and fell in love, instantly, and my lovely Mummy bought it for me for the wedding.

Now, as you can see it isn't blue. I got home and my Mum went "your dress is upstairs" so I raced upstairs and my first reaction was WHAT IT'S GREEN! I don't have a lot of green. However, after trying it on I realised how perfect it was. The colour compliments me so well and the silhouette is so flattering. And let's not forget the butterflies. I would like to say that on the website it does look blue - honestly! I went and double checked, but the description on the website does say Mint Green. Note to self: read the descriptions!
On hindsight I'm so glad it was green. It's so completely un-Lisa it's perfect. I wasn't sure about the black edging at first, but now I think it just adds to its beauty. It adds a bit of an edge to it so it's not just floaty pretty.

I'm so glad I wore this to the wedding. I was planning on my waterfall dress seen here, however about 80% of the female guests were in waterfall dresses - so quite glad I decided not to! It was perfect as it wasn't the warmed/sunniest of days so a maxi kept me warm, and yet didn't overheat me on the dance floor!

What do you think of the colour? Would you wear this to a wedding?

Life Through a Lens #1

I love these types of posts. I know a few people have slated them but I love to see what bloggers get up to, maybe cause I'm nosey who knows!
I had been waiting for my phone upgrade so I could get instragram to do this as I have a Blackberry (boo!), but I got impatient so I thought I'd show you some pics for the last couple of weeks of my life!

scones with friends  |  lola rose pressie  |  wedding dress  |  new viewing with boy
race for life  |  house moto  |  arthur cuddling my bear  |  wedding reception
my chair!  |  with brothers  |  false!  |  dress for date
superdrug bargains  |  back on the road  |  new lips  |  walking in the sun

These have been from the past couple of weeks. They have been a bit hectic and trust me, life isn't slowing down! In the past couple of weeks I've been working full time (boo) but have also had my cousins beautiful wedding and I also took part in the Race for Life on Sunday - my legs are STILL aching! So glad to finally see the sun, really nice to walk to work in it I have to say and I hope it stays for the weekend!

This week I have a lot going on so will be loads of photos, me and the boy have just booked the Harry Potter tour for our week off in September, and we'll be booking Dublin this week too. We're also off to Cardiff this weekend to see my brother and Hanah, and on Friday we have the boy's brothers leaving party as he is off to Madrid for a year (jealous much!?). So I'm sure you'll get to see all that!

How is life with you? Do you like these kinda posts?

Raining Florals

I refuse to conform to the current ever changing weather - it IS spring and I WILL dress for Spring.
So today when I was deciding what to wear for work I came across this little beauty that I forgot I had...

Absolutely LOVE this skirt and so glad I discovered it in my wardrobe! It is very spring/summery but pop it with some tights and a jumper and it'll match our current weather...

Also match it with some ankle boots and you're set! I love these boots - fantastic little find when I was browsing through Commercial Road at University once...

Shirt: Topshop
Skirt: Topshop

I love florals and a skirt/blouse so this is the perfect 'Lisa' outfit!

What's your Mid-Season look?

Aussie Fashion Show

On Saturday I was invited to go to the Aussie Fashion Show in London at the Future Gallery to celebrate the release of their bigger bottles. It was great fun and the first fashion show I've ever been to so I was really excited!
I went up with a couple of my besties Amber and Andra and we had a lovely girly day!

L to R: Amber, Me and Andra
Amber is wearing: Blazer H&M, Vest Dorothy Perkins, Jeans Topshop, Heels Dorothy Perkins.
I am wearing: Blazer H&M, Scarf Topshop, Tshirt Topshop, Leggins River Island, Heels New Look.
Andra is wearing: Blazer H&M, Top New Look, Leggings h&M, Heels New Look

The fashion show feature clothes from Minkpink and Eviltwin, both of which can be found on Asos and Urban Outfitters.

These were my 4 favourite looks from the show. I love the first look, so cute with the denim skirt and white blouse, really like and girly! I also love the floaty dresses, perfect for Spring and Summer coming up! The last look is so incredible glamorous - if I had the stomach for it I'd be rocking it!
If you look through Urban Outfitters and Asos you can find bits of these outfits, however I did have problems finding most of the pieces! But it is worth having a look if one takes you fancy.

These were the other outfits from the show, some of them really playful, young and trendy and perfect for the current weather! You'll also see a collage of bits and bobs from my day with the girls at Aussie. Including a pictures of their GORGEOUS cupcakes... was such a shame to eat them cause they looked amazing... but they tasted soooo good!

Thanks Aussie for a great afternoon! It was so amazing and had such a great girly day out!
