The Outfit Post | Simple Tings

For some reason most of my outfit posts mainly consist of Topshop items. Whoops! Today is no different. This is the outfit I wore on Saturday, very simple and very comfortable. However I managed to jazz it up with some gorgeous pieces kindly sent over from Rings and Tings.

Simplicity is sometimes so so nice, no pattern, no tricks, just nice and quiet. A quiet outfit. Throwing a shirt over a top and jeans can make an outfit go from dull to a little something extra. Pop on a fab short necklace and you have yourself an outfit. I LOVE this necklace. I think it is absolutely gorgeous. Goes with everything, delicate and girly, yet chunky so still has a bit of edge. The earrings just finish them off perfectly.

Not only that, but the price is so reasonable. For what you're getting, it's really nothing to pay for good quality beautiful pieces.

WIshlist | Pandora Autumn Collection

I love my Pandora bracelet. I have a brown leather one and I love every single one of my charms. Recently they've launched their new Autumn collection and it's a goody! So, I thought with birthday and christmas coming up and the inevitable piles of little white boxes I will be receiving, I should put my two cents in writing and give you guys my top 5.

Feather Ring

I absolutely love the simplicity of this ring, and how unique it is. Usually I go for the typically girly things, so a feather is a bit different for me. I really love the design. I think it would just be a really nice little quirky silver ring and would make a lovely little special gift.

Blue Fizzle Murano Charm

I love the murano charms as a rule anyway, I just love how delicate they look and the patterns you can get inside them. My bracelet seems to have a blue theme so this little buddy would fit right in with all its other blue bead friends.

Openwork Leaves Charm

Very autumnal, we have leaves. Again I love the openwork charms, they are classic and great if you're looking for more a budget present for someone as they are one of the cheapest charms, yet one of the prettiest. I love the detail on this leaves version.

Precious Heritage Lace Earring Pendants

I just LOVE these. They are the prettiest earrings I have ever seen in my life, I just want to snatch them up and run away with them. I love the size, i love the detail, i love the colouring. Just everything about them really and if I had a spare £200 I would treat myself!

Chinese Love Heart Charm

I really like the plain version of this, however the little inscription just seems to make this even cutest and that little bit more special. I love jewellery that means something to me, and I have a feeling if I ever received this it would mean a hell of a lot. Just a cutie.

Rebro Me Collection

I'm sorry, but LOOK HOW CUTE! Owl's seem to be absolutely everywhere at the moment and I've loved the trend. Adam's mum loves owls and I swear it's beginning to rub off on me.

Rebro is a jewellery brand that I've recently discovered and I have fallen in love with these pieces. These earrings are from their "Me Collection" designed by Bronagh Reid as her first collection. The pieces are fashion forward, at the same time as suiting all styles.

I picked these gorgeous silver earrings with swarovki drops on the end, your choice of colour. I chose blue because, let's face it, blue is my favourite colour. They are really sweet and good quality as well for just a tenner. I love how it arrives as well inside the gorgeous silk silver bag, tied together with a little keyring with an "R" atttached. Such a nice touch, one you don't see very often.

Overall I really love the collection. It's very now, but will last throughout many different fashion seasons. I would definitely recommend going to have a look! With Mother's Day coming up as well this could be the perfect website to go to!

Valentines with Pandora

Yes, it's that time of year again! It's V Day next week - you either love it or you hate it. Personally I love it. Granted I have a boyfriend so maybe that's why but still. We never actually really do anything on the day itself (we are usually busy) - and this year I'll be at college til half 9 so I've told Adam he has to sort something out and surprise me!

Now, in terms of presents I always find personal presents are always a bit nicer on occassions like Valentines and anniversaries. And nothing is more personal than jewellary... And at the moment jewellery for me means Pandora... So here are my Pandora picks!

1. Multiple Hearts Charm £30
This is uber cute. Its a sweet little bead covered in hearts which just screams "i love you i love you i love you" over and over again.

2. Red Heart Charm £50
A bit on the more expensive side thanks to the red enamel but I really do like this. Won't go with my blue colour scheme at all, but it is probably my favourite of the 5.

3. Red Heart Murano Charm £30
I do love Pandora's glass charms and the patterns they can make and this is the perfect one for valentines. Again, not going with my blue scheme but its so perdy!

4. Openwork Heart Charm £20
This is the one I've actually asked for as its within our budget, plus I really like their openwork charms. I have one with flowers and it'll go with my colour scheme!

5. Engraved Heart Charm £30
This is new to Pandora and incredibly cute. I love their plain pillow heart and this is the same price, but with cute love engraving.

I'm sure everybody recognises one of these - yes, it is a Pandora bracelet. Everyone seems to think it is Links versus Pandora, but I have both and I love both for very different reasons. At the moment it's my Pandora that graces my wrist more often - for the simple reason that it's more practical for work than my Links.

So here is a little history of my Pandora. My lovely friend Beth bought me the bracelet for my 22nd birthday, just over a year ago as she is bad and spoilt me rotten! Her mum popped round with a white Pandora bag (Beth lives in Cheltenham so far too far away) and I got very excited and instantly loved it.

My first charm was the blue glass murano bead with white daisies on it. My parents bought me this when they went to Vegas as a thank you for house sitting while they were away - and from my birthday this year they seem to just keep coming!

For my birthday I got the little strawberry you see on the end from my big brother and his girlfriend Hanah, the silver flowery one from the in-laws and the blue glass murano bead with ladybirds from Beth again (see, she spoils me). While Mum and I were in New York we bought the mother/daughter charm for our matching bracelets.

Then Christmas came and wham! Hello more charms! This gorgeous little owl is from the in-laws, and then a gorgeous blue topaz (birthstone) spacer and blue vine charm from my parents. Last but not least the star charm from my big brother and Hanah again. Phew! That's a lot of charms...

Each one is special. A big different for me with Pandora and Links is that people seem to save getting me Links charms for the very special occassions, and the Pandora charms because they are just gorgeous and a bit more purse friendly.

They do say that you should only have about 9 or 10 charms on your bracelet otherwise it stretches. I already have 9 on mine but I'm pretty sure it'll be fine with a few more!
I would definitely recommend giving a Pandora bracelet to someone special on a special birthday and it gives you many more presents as the years go on!

Pandora "Pure" Watch in Gold

I made a little "Big Birthday Present" list a month or so ago for my birthday here, and my lovely lovely parents bought me the beautiful Pandora watch that I wanted - and here it is! Isn't it gooorgeous!

It has a light gold leather band, with a silver face with gold detailing. It's very pretty and I do feel like I am a proper grown up now I have my own posh watch! It comes in a gorgeous box as well with a little secret compartment! (I need to stop saying gorgeous so much).

I think I am a bit in love with this watch, I am a bit scared of cracking it at work so I am gonna have to be careful. But I do feel like a real live grown up with my watch - which may sound incredibly weird but it makes sense it my head! It's really comfortable as well, it doesn't pinch and it's just o so pretty!

If you are an avid reader of Topaz & May, then you know I am very loyal to my Links bracelet. However, since heading back into retail I have found my Pandora brown leather bracelet a tad more practical. And as such, I have been coveting a multitude of charms for their bracelet.
So, all in the name of blogging (obviously) I have collated my favourite charms for you all to see - have fun browsing, and remember - it's my birthday next week, just hinting!! ;)

I'm an "L"

 "L" Necklace from Topshop £5

It's been a long while since I did a post specifically about my jewellery. Now that I'm working in retail full time and have to wear a uniform (yawn) it's hard to summon the energy to make a huge effort in the evenings when it comes to what to wear. So a simple, statement necklace is perfect right now.

And this just sums me up. I am an "L" and I know this makes no sense and you're probably looking at me (my blog) like I'm a loony, but for me I am an "L", and "L" is me. Probably cause Lisa starts with an L, but still! I just love the simplicity of this necklace and the personal touch it gives. I'm not usually a gold girl so this is different for me, and a total bargain!

I got this just over a month ago in store for a cheeky £5 and I've not seen anymore since, so I don't know if you can get them anymore. But I love mine, and it takes turns with my Tiffany butterfly to sit proudly around my neck.

We all know I love my Links. I wear my Links bracelet near on every day and I'm always looking for new charms for birthdays or christmas. I want my charms to have meaning behind them, which is why I'm so excited about Links of London's new Keepsakes collection. Each charm in the new collection has a little meaning behind it - which I love!
Links offered me the chance to choose a charm, and with basically restarting my career path at the moment I thought I could do with all the luck I could get - so I went for a lucky wishbone! It has "Make a Wish" written up one side of it (sorry, I couldn't get a fab picture of that, stupid camera) and I just love it. As you can see it's settled safely on my Links bracelet with my other charms!

Yes heaven is a place on earth... And it comes in the form of Lola Rose.

Let me set the scene for you... It's a Thursday, I got paid the evening before and I'm browsing Twitter when suddenly I see...

"LOLA ROSE SUMMER SALE NOW STARTED"

Well, there goes my will power and BAM, find myself on the Lola Rose site browsing their sale and informing other Lola Rose addicts of this sale so I don't feel quite so naughty.

I decided, as I'd had a very stressful week at work as the lovely Kat was away, that I deserved a treat. So I bought this lovely necklace and matching bracelet (neither of which is still in the sale) for £32 all together - which when you consider the bracelet was originally £22 and necklace over £30 on their own, I think I did rather well.

The stones in this are Heather Rose Quartzite which is the stones in the bracelet and the main stone on the necklace, and it's mixed with Shadow Quartz I believe in the necklace. You're better off asking my mum, she knows all the stones by heart I swear!

Anywho, I wanted to share this with you as I really want to spread the word about Lola Rose. They do such amazing jewellery, and although it can be a little on the pricey side, their sales are amazing and you can also get them for a discounted price on Amazon (but you didn't hear that from me). Their pieces also make great birthday/christmas/anniversary presents. I strongly suggest you jump on the Lola Rose bandwagon sooner rather then later! No I don't work for the brand, and I'm not being endorsed by them - I just honestly love their products.

Links of London GB Collection

Those who know me know I love my Links of London bracelet and love their charms. So when they asked me to review their GB collection I jumped at the chance. Not only do I love Links, but I love the Olympics and I'm lucky enough to be going in August to see the male swimmers (o yum!) so this really was the dream offer for me.

Links of London have teamed up with the Olympics to be the creators of the Official Jewellery Collection 2012 and they've come up with this fantastic collection.

2012 Team GB Band* £20

I really love this band. It's so patriotic and just fits really nicely. I love how it arrived. It came with a lovely Links of London GB gift bag and came presented in what (to me) looked like a test tube...! But was really very cool.

For £20 as well it's well worth getting to show your support for Team GB! I will definitely be wearing this to see the male swimmers... aka my future husbands!

I have been sporting this bracelet since I received it and I really do love it, I have had so many compliments already! It's comfortable, stylish and I feel very patriotic wearing it!

This is the rest of the collection. I love the fact that it isn't just restricted to charms but you can also get beads as well as handbag charms and a keyring.Unfortunately last time I looked the slim bead was out of stock... But the rest is still available!

My favourite charm in the collection is probably the Paralympics Disc Charm, may have to invest in that as well at some point...

I also love the Team GB keyring, I am a bit of a keyring collector so I have a feeling this piece will accidently end up on my keys sometime soon...

I love all the colours and I feel so patriotic just looking at the collection!

I have completely bought into the waterfall trend. I think its just a ladylike trend and it's just so pretty! I love the colours in this dress, they are really bring and help to brighten up the black. It comes in at the waist (which I'm a bit fan of) and skims over your bum and legs.

The top of the dress is actually see-through so you do have to wear a black vest underneath (unless you're braver then me and want to expose your underwear!), it does have a slip under the skirt... but not a very long one!

I wore this beauty to my Pappy's 80th Birthday party (that's Granddad or Grandpa to normal people) and I got so many compliments for it :) It's definitely become a staple in my wardrobe for the summer.

The jewellery (you've probably predicted) is from my trusty Lola Rose collection. I LOVE the colour of these bits, so summery and they go perfectly with this dress. The nails as Estee Lauder in Teal Topaz to match the jewellery with a varnish from my Mum's magic colouring box! (Become one of my fave shades for the summer... If it ever arrives!)

The shoes I stole from Andra's wardrobe (again) and were SO comfortable, the balls of my feet didn't even hurt by the end of the night - which is saying something as there was a disco with classics such as 5,6,7,8 and Saturday Night! You can't get them in this colour anymore but take a look here for the colours you can get :)

Lots of Lace Love

I have a little bit of an addiction to lace.. Which you may have guessed by now if you're a regular reader of the blog. This outfit is no different...

First of all I apologise for the just rained on frizzy mess of hair in these photos, this weather is playing havoc with my hair!

I love this dress, I purchased it on my recent girly trip to Bournemouth from trusty H&M, I couldn't decide between it in black or nude coloured but went for trusty black in the end. It's so flattering and really easy to wear. I did have to get a size bigger then usual however as my usual side my my boobs come up to my chin... 

This cardigan is a couple of years old now so you won't be able to get it anymore. It's gorgeous, I LOVE the back (hello again lace!) and its just that bit different. I love the draped front as well as it's different to any of my other cardigans.

You'll also notice my lovely new Accessorize purchases - eek can't stop wearing them (just not around the puppy...)
Actually, this is completely puppy-unfriendly outfit... He decided he also really likes lace, but he prefers to eat it then appreciate it... bad puppy!

Green and Gold

I love Accessorize - what girl doesn't? So it is ridiculously dangerous for me to work in a town centre which has an Accessorize in it...

However, I'm very proud of myself and today (3 months in...) was the first day I purchased myself something and I LOVE my pieces.

I've been eyeing both pieces up for a couple of months now and I decided to treat myself as I was so tired from my beautiful puppy waking me up at 6am every morning...

Firstly - sorry for the awful quality of the first image, didn't realise it was that bad until I popped it into photoshop and by then all natural light was gone :(

Anywho, onto product...

I couldn't find the earrings on the website (sorry folks!) but I can tell you they are £6 and absolutely gorgeous. My friend Andra has got me addicted to big earrings so these were absolutely perfect to go with this necklace, or just to dress up a black outfit.

I have literally picked up this necklace so many times to go and purchase it and kept putting it back thinking "no I don't need it..." but yes, yes I DO! It was £10 and you can find it here on their website. 

I just love the contrast of the gold and the green, this green is my favourite kinda stone on jewellery and I have so many different pieces that'll match it. I also find it's a great colour to use with navy and also white for a Spring/Summer look (if we ever get our Spring or Summer here in the UK!).

Ever since my Mum got some GORGEOUS Astley Clark stacking rings for Christmas I have been coveting them... and then again when I started my new job and one of my lovely colleagues (jemimaandted) was wearing them as well...

I have to say, my favourites ones of each are the midnight blue enamel ring from Astley Clarke (bit of a navy fiend!) and Mila ring from Lola Rose.

With regards to Lola Rose, you can (as with pretty much all of their pieces) you can change the stone over for different choices.

The thing I love about stacking rings is you can either wear them by themselves, or together, you can mix and match, and it gives people gift ideas for your next birthday or christmas pressie :)

Slouch in Beige

This weekend was a bit of a lazy weekend for me, so I dressed to match... 

Jumper H&M, Shorts Topshop, Earring New Look, Necklace New Look, Bangle Accessorize, Boots Ugg

I absolutely love this jumper. It is so comfortable and can be dressed up for work with smart trousers and heels, or a pencil skirts... Or dressed down as you see here.

H&M did it in loads of colours, but I chose beige as it literally just seems to go with everything. It's slightly crop as well so is exactly on trend.

These shorts can be high waist and I wore them non-stop when I went to Australia last year with the boyf. They are ridiculously comfortable and stretchy so the perfect slouchy shorts which again can be dressed up if necessary!.

This is one of my FAVOURITE necklaces. I've never really been a red person, but my friend Andra got me this for my birthday last year and I literally wear it non stop. It's great for adding a bit of colour like it does here so an outfit is not completely boring.

Slate & Lace

Here is my little outfit I wore for a night out for my friends 21st on Good Friday. I absolutely loved it and it's so different to what I usually wear out - standard is usually black bodycon skirt and a nice top.

I really liked this outfit, was so comfortable and stylish, and also really cute thanks to Andra's top I stole (hmm may not give it back...) Add some trust Lola Rose and we're in business! Was really comfortable to dance in and surprisingly so were the shoes... My GORGEOUS new Miss Selfridge shoes!
